Hmm as i live in southport, I've noticed that posters everywhere are saying that Southport will play Liverpool on Sunday.. yet it isn't listed in the fixtures on the lfc offal.

I would expect it to be Liverpool reserves, yes?

Was in the Visiter a few weeks about it, its Liverpool XI v Southport. I think will be mainly youth players, they suggested a one or two fringe players from the first team might make it. No idea who but will probably get a better idea by looking at who doesnt play tomorrow.

Burscough also playing Man United XI tomorrow while the Mancs first team are playing someone else at the same time.

Has a squad been announced?? Usually early preseason games feature solely reserves and youth team players or at least very few first teamers, just wondered if that's the case tomorrow?

Senior players wise you will probably be looking at Carson (unless a deal is imminent), Hyypia, Agger, Skrtel, Carra, Finnan, Degen, Aurelio, Lucas, Pennant, Benayoun, and maybe less likely Voronin, Gerrard, Dossena

And then reserves wise Insua, Leto, Spearing, Darby, Plessis, Pacheco, Martin,

Watch out for the Liverpool pre–season game against Tranmere. There will be two big names present in stadium, Eto'o and Ronaldinho. Guess why? This is not rumour or wish. It will happen in front of the press and will be on the media after the game. The guy that said Ronaldinho's agent was seen in a restaurant with Rick Parry is totally right. There are discussions going on behind the scene. Liverpool will surprise the football world before the start of the season with these additional mega signings – Eto, Ronaldinho, Barry, Quaresma and Silva. Who said Liverpool did not have the money
