I think we will alternate between 442 and 433 with Kuyt, Babel and 2 others fighting it out to play alongside Torres.

7 subs makes it an exciting time for the youngsters, with space for the likes of Nemeth, Plessis and Insua for far more games this season.

Insua has already been mentioned as one of our 3 LB's which is great for him; and I fully expect Nemeth to get his chance on the bench every now and again in place of Voronin; while Plessis and Lucas will be cover for Masch and Xabi (or Barry).

Rafa seems to have done well so far in the sales sitting with a plus balance of a few million. If the Barry deal goes through it will be covered by the Alonso sale more or less and conservatively we should get another 5million for the sale of Carson, which leaves a plus balance of around 10 million. So even 10 million available from the owners could get us a 20mil signing.

And I expect a few more sales in the coming weeks.

I feel things are progressing nicely.

Playing off Torres as he did at the end of the season.

Disagree, given 4231 and how Rafa likes his CMs to play, El Jefecito would be the first name on the team sheet in CM.

Well I see it this way. I we where to sign Kaka, (and I know we wont) our attack would IMO look like this:

                Gerrard..Kaka..Babel
                ..........Torres

                  Agree

Says more about SGs strengths than Kaka's if you ask me.

Tells me that Gerrard is more versatile and is less clever tactically for second striker role.

Maybe. I prefer to look at it a different way. 40% of all LFC goals are either scored by or setup by SG!!!

BTW Kaka usually gets 1/2 the # of assists that SG does, so maybe SG isn't as thick as some would have us believe.

I don“t think he is thick. He is not tactically disciplined. And while he gets away with that in most games, it is in the hard games that he needs to stay in his position and be what that position calls for. Being a link between defence and attack. This is one of the reasons he is not playing in midfield.
