THe thing that really irks me though are the likes of Platini AND Blatter putting their support behind him signing for Madrid.

Like I say - I know I won't get any support for feeling sorry for Man U but imagine if he had signed for Liverpool (we were in for him afterall). How would you feel about footballs top brass saying these things?

If I were Man U I would be thinking about sueing the ****ers. The comments they have made are unnecessary, and disharmonious. Platini and Blatter should be agnostic about any move that Ronaldo does/doesn't make. Imagine if they were saying that Torres moving to Chelsea would be good/should happen? They simply shouldn't be commenting on this and it's really unprofessional that they are. It confirms to me that Blatter is a stupid old ****er who should be forcibly retired, and that Platini is a self serving **** who should be sacked.

Sorry to be all pro - Man U there, but this could so easily be us and those ****s do afterall run the European game - it is totally out of order.

to be fair to him, ronaldo never actually said he felt like slave, only that he agrees with blatter that a player should be granted his wish to leave and shouldn't be kept against his will. same ****, different smell. but significant nontheless.

anyway, i reckon transfer fees will soon be ditched and rival clubs will be able to simply buy out a players contract if he wants to move on. all the power lies with the players anyway these days, someone who heart's not in it anymore is of little or no value to the club. and letting someone rot in the reserves is not only costing you a **** load of money but apparently a player can challenge it under fifa rulings if it's only done for the sake of it.
