According to Radio City news Rafa has said that he will unveil a massive coup at the club within the next fortnight. Anyone have any speculation regarding this?

I did not post this in transfer section as there is no guarantee that it is player related yet.

Hopefully though it is a big signing.

Radio City isn't particularly reliable though is it?

I pray we are getting Aguero (although I suspect it is a pipe dream of mammoth proportions). I'd love him in the central role behind Torres and Gerrard on the right of the 4-2-3-1.

Mixed feelings - obvious elation if it was Aguero, but spending all this money we (apparently) do not have seems a tad dangerous in the current economic climate.

To be honest I am not sure Desert, I had a text of my dad and also of my mate. It came across more like the newsreader had read it out rather than Rafa but they would have to have heard it from the man himself to come up with the story wouldn't they?

As someone else has said, Alonso plus cash for Aguero makes the sale of Alonso far more palatable, becasue at least then we are getting a world class talent in exchange.

I can't see it being Aguero being a realist unless it's best kept secret of the summer we'll end up with Dean Windass!!

yup that would be mch more palatable than if we simply sold Xabi and bought in barry. But if he were to got hen we would be very short in midfield for the start of season.

Hopefully he's done another sneeky with Ajax and got Huntelaar. Sir Alco is after Berbatov, Keane won't leave if Berbatov goes. Aguero is very wishful thinking. Huntelaar is for grabs. But sure who knows what Rafa is at.

Gerrard drops into CM and Augero takes the support striker role?

It is Gerrards favourite position after all. Of course we could then buy Barry and push Gerrards out to the right, or buy someone who actually wants to play out right like Silva. Or buy Keane who can cover all over the park.

With Augero the options are massive!
