murphy on the whole got more right with what he said than not. i'd much rather see someone more creative played behind torres and gerrard get to play as a box to box midfielder.
gerrard is now coming into his prime, regardless of what position he plays i expect him to be better than last year. also, in the big games where torres gets isolated gerrard is playing too deep anyway.
gerrard will still give us everything he did last season playing in a more central position alongside one of masch, lucas & plessis.
rafa should just **** off barry and even keane. that 35 million would buy auguero and we'd be so much more stronger with just one signing.

true, but it does seem that it maybe possible Euro home grown player restrictions which could be the driving force behind Keane and Barry.Originally posted by rage View Postmurphy on the whole got more right with what he said than not. i'd much rather see someone more creative played behind torres and gerrard get to play as a box to box midfielder.

If you put Gerrard in middle of the park, Rafa wont want him bombing forward and Gerrard is not disciplined enough not to go missing and he is more dangerous with the shackles off anyway.Players we should be signing:
Lallana, Lovren, Moreno, Vorm, Shaqiri , Memphis Depay and Adele Ali
Players who should be going
Reina, Brad Jones, Coates, Kelly, Agger, Lucas, Assaidi, Suso, Borini, Aspas

Correct, it's not just the sign on fee, even more important is the wage bill. Our turnover does not allow us to pay the same wages as Manu/Chelsea, until that increases (stadium) we have to be prudent.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostIt's not strange at all is it? Chelsea are backed by Abramovich and Man Utd turnover more than any other club in the world.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Originally posted by MrMichael View PostCorrect. No club in the world can compete with Chelsea financially, and very few with ManU. It'd be great to see Rafa's hands untied in the transfer market, but realistically he is in the same position as all but a very small handfull of managers, ie. he is operating within a budget. That budget may be too small to enable us to compete on a level playing field, but it does not have to mean that we can't compete at all.

Or sign players like Torres who will actually take a wage cut to join usOriginally posted by Skillz View PostCorrect, it's not just the sign on fee, even more important is the wage bill. gerrard had one of his most productive seasons ever in the support role.
joe cole finished in a side that one nothing and rosicky? oh. dear. dear. me.
