    Bigmouth Strikes Again

    From SkySports:

Anthony Le Tallec claims he does not want to return to Liverpool.

The young Frenchman is currently on loan at Sochaux from Liverpool after failing to establish himself under Rafa Benitez.

Le Tallec spent the whole of last season on loan at Sunderland and the season before that he had a six-month spell at St Etienne as he struggled to make an impact at Anfield.

The French Under-21 international does not believe he has been given a fair chance under Benitez and is determined to get his career back on track at Sochaux.

"Stability is the most important thing for me," Le Tallec told skysports.com.

"I am fed up with being loaned all the time.
"When you are being loaned, you can't invest yourself.

"Coming back to Liverpool for pre-season training every year and then leaving is not a nice situation.
"My contract with Sochaux includes an option for a permanent move.
"So I hope I will stay next season, and I will do everything for it.
"It depends on my performances and on the staff."

The skilful forward admits he enjoyed his spell at Sunderland even though they suffered relegation and he insists he has no regrets over his time at Liverpool

"Playing for Sunderland has definitely been a superb experience," added Le Tallec
"The fans have been great in spite of the poor results.

"The atmosphere within the squad was fantastic.
"And I have discovered the real English culture.
"At Liverpool, there are so many foreigners, not everybody speaks English…
    "That club is international.
"I have really enjoyed that experience at The Stadium of Light.

"That is true that Rafa Benitez has axed every French players of the squad.
"I don't know if he has a problem with French people, I don't want to cause problems.

"And he has signed Momo Sissoko, who was born in Paris.
"Anyway, that is an old story for me.

"I won't play again for Liverpool, that is over.

"My cousin Florent (Sinama-Pongolle) is happy with his new club (Recreativo de Huelva).
"The coach really wanted to welcome him, and that is important.
"Their start of the season has been great, so it is the best for his integration.
"I don't regret to have joined Liverpool at the age of 18.

"When I came, Gerard Houllier really trusted me.
I was part of his plans, and was always in the team.
I consider my first season at the club superb.

"I have learned a lot, training with the stars.

"But when Gerard (Houllier) left, everything changed.
I am still young (21) and I need to play regularly."

Le Tallec remains determined to fulfil his ambitions of playing for a top club again and breaking into the senior French national team.

"I want to be watched for the next two or three years," said Le Tallec.
But don't think I am not ambitious any more.
I am anxious to come back to a big club in order to play Champions League football in the future.

"But I will take my time. Our generation (France Under-21 squad) is very talented. We want to copy youngsters Rio Mavuba, Julien Faubert, Jeremy Toulalan and Franck Ribery.

"Maybe three or four players will be called into the French national team one day.

"Coach Raymond Domenech is famous for trusting young players."

I heard that interview exerpt on the wireless earlier.

Houllier sign him should sign him. I think he had potential but Rafa came in too late to rescue him. He'd had Houllier bigging him up for years, what he needed was Rafa to sort his head out earlier

He's also a cock. What he's saying is the same as Dunk saying he wouldn't shag Jessica Alba. Of course not, because you'd not get a chance...

Just bitter. He wasn't good enough otherwise he'd have been retained, and he knows it.

I thought he had the tallent, but not the right attitude. His downfall was when he asked Rafa to guarintee him a starting place when Rafa joined us.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
