don't suppose a pre season game will convince the deluded ones on here that voronin, pennant and leto will never be good enough for us

Voronin put in a lot of effort which is nice as people were accusing him of laziness at the end of last season.
I made exactly the same decision, but for some reason I just coming back in case it's a cracker or I see something exceptional in someone.
      Never do though.

I'm sure I will get lured back in but I think Dean Saunders finally convinced me not to do it this time. It was the contrast between the commentary being done as if it were a meaningful match - making comments about how we lacked fluency and weren't pinging the ball about - suddenly made me think we always hate matches in the season when they start looking like a preseason friendly and now I'm wasting my life watching one out of choice. It's fine to go to watch it live but on TV I think unless it is a social event I'm definitely giving it a miss.

I also hate the snap judgments people make about players. The only interest for me is seeing if a young player is really knocking on the door and that is so hard to determine against half arsed opposition - we know the players we have talent as they won the reserve league but it's something else to bring it to the first team.

We don't even seem to be developing a system particularly we are simply playing the players we want to get fit.

I think I may have been more annoyed by watching that last night than I thought

I'm saving my rage for a Manc supporter who favours a back 5. It would be a shame to waste it.

How come you put a capital letter at the beginning of each word? Did you do that manually? And if so, why!
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

It is because he wrote it all in CAPS but the system then automatically transforms it to look like above.

                        Basically he was SHOUTING!

Have to say that Pacheco has been the shining light in pre-season so far.

Also, where was Babel last night?

I hope Pacheco gets a chance to play alongside Torres, Gerrard etc at some point this pre-season. Will be interesting to see how he does then.

As for Babel, I think him and Lucas have already gone to the Olympics.

Shouldn't Nemeth get a chance ahead of Pacheco though?
