    Nemeth Blog Translation

Found this elsewhere. It's quite revealing.

I think this lad will make it.

    ---
I'm back with the translations of the Nemeth blog. I hope you enjoy the next two parts of it.
    -------------------------------
Nemeth: "Thats how I made my debut in the Liverpool first team" (2008.07.31.)

I have many unbeliveable feelings now as we are heading back to Liverpool from Spain. We are heading back to the airport, but I can only think about the game agains Villareal. I'm incredibly happy, because I was waiting for this moment all of my life, to make my senior debut in one of the greatest teams in europe.

I have been with big stars for some days now, and It's quite a difference to how I lived my life . If someone would ask me about this, I would say I don't want to be such a star like Gerrard and Torres. People in Spain are mad about football players, this is not normal what they are doing to them. They were always there srceaming for autographs and trying to touch them. It's like in the movies. It's strange, because in England Torres and Gerrard for example can go to the streets, and nobody disturbs them, english people keep one's distance.

But let's start from the beginning. After tuesday's training Rafa Benitez announced his squad. While I was expecting that in my heart, I was still very happy about getting the chance. And then came the first surprise, when guys in uniform came to the dressing room to examine my bags. I tought this was an initiation, but elder members of the team explained, that when the team goes abroad, we do not check in at the airport, because all of this work is made at Melwood. I simply could not belive this professionalism.

In spain the weather was great and the fans were excellent too. I shared my room with Yossi Benayoun, who is one of the best guys in the team, he is very straight and nice man, everybody likes him. He was great to me by helping and encouraging me.

I made some calculations, and we were 26 of us in spain. I tought I will not play and I only came here to get used to the life at the first team. But Rafa Benitez came to me and told, that I would come in at half time and I will be substituted by Torres later. He told me he wants to play the spanish players, but they can only play 20 minutes as they started training recently, and that's true for me too, because I was absent with the U19 national team.

I tried to do everything exactly as I used to, but I was a little bit nervous. Of course this feeling has gone as I stepped onto the pitch. There were moments when I think I should have been more calm as there were 3 situations I would do differently now.

Firstly I was in a good position to score, but Pacheco did not pass the ball, then I made the same mistake by not passing to him. And there was that shot that went away by centimeters. It would have been great to score on my debut.

Of course I am really happy and motivated, because this showed me where I can get and it gives me strenght to continue my work and I know exatly how hard I have to train and improve to get there.

Nemeth: "It's a pitty that shot was saved." (2008.08.03.)

Life goes very fast for me nowdays. I'm on my way to Glasgow airport, and I'm fretting about not scoring my first goal at Liverpool senior team. Everybody told me to be happy with my performance, but I'm disappointed as that shot have not gone in. I don't know how the keeper could save that shot.

I was on the pitch for 1 or 2 minutes and Insua passed to me in the box, and I struck that shot with my left foot. I saw it going in but that keeper made a fantastic save. Fortunately the ball fell in front of Yossi and he scored from the chance. By the way it was a great feeling to be on the pich, the atmosphere was great and I enjoyed the game.

The penalty was a good decision by the ref. Alonso's ball was a little bit short and I had to move back a bit, and there came the defender who fouled me. I was thinking about asking for shooting that penalty, but when I saw Xabi Alonso to move for the ball I did not say anything, but supporting him. He is European Champion, one of the greatest penalty takers in the world, who I respect very much, so I was happy with his goal.

After the match everybody said some good words to me, even Rafa Benitez did, but I think his words do not behove to the publicity. I'm instead enjoying his words in myself.

As for the experience in Scotland it was great. We were in a nice hotel and we were napping a bit. We had a nice walk in the mountains, where the scenery was beautiful and the air was clear and fresh. After the technical discussion Rafa Benitez told me he will bring me in after 50 minutes an I will play to the end.

From that I was only thinking about the game, which was fantastic. I have never played in front of 55000 people. It was great to see, that Liverpool is going to be a strong team this year, as the others were playing well together. Ngog played very well and Dossena was really good also. As for me It would be great to be close to the first team this year.

Good to read this as it just proves that bollocks about him being big-headed and demanding is completely wrong. Very humble for such a talented player and he will make it. No doubt at all.

This comes courtesy of a poster called ScouserHUN on .TV. Thought i'd post something a bit different to transfer bollocks. Bits in red i've added.

Nemeth:"I's going to be the most important game of the year"

I'll try to translate what Krisztian Nemeth says week-to-week in his hungarian blog. My english is not the best, so sorry for the mistakes. This is the leatest one.

Nemeth: "I's going to be the most important game of the year"

The most important game of the year awaits us on wednesday at Anfield Road, but this isn't the first time I'm going there. On Sunday at half time of the Man City game we recieved the Cup for winning the Reserve League. The speaker gave in everyone's name and we finally got hold of the Cup. Anfield was so magnificent, we stood on it's green turf and the stadium was packed. It was a strange feeling, but I hope I will get a chance to get used to it

I don't know how many people will be at the match on Wednesday, but Gary Ablett said there could be around 10 thousand Liverpool fans. We have some injury problems. Our playmaker Jay Spearing is injured, and the wingers are doubtful for the match. And the dutch guy Jordy Brouwer I used to play with is also having problems. Anyway we want to win the final, if we are there and we will do everything to achieve that.

This is a final where the winner of the south league plays agains the winner of the north league. This is a kind of a superfinal and it's going to be at Anfield. Hopefully we'll get Insua back from the first team, who played well at the weekend. He had a really pacey opponent agains him, but he coped with it. It was good to see someone from the reserves to do well in the first team. Plessis was the other guy from us who did that, and I hope I will be the next. I try do do my job step by step, and I hope I'm getting closer.

So, the next big thing will be on wednesday, where all of the hungarians could play. I think Gula (Gulácsi) will play in the goal, and Simi (Simon) has chance to play a part. Simon is getting better and better after recovering from injury, he even scored in the last games. This is a good sign not just here in Liverpool, but at home too, because after wednesday we are heading back home for the U19 national team.

This is the translation of his blog entry after the Arsenal CL game at Anfield.
          -------------------------------------------------------------------------

What I've been through in the last 24 hours, that alone was worth signing for Liverpool, and I will never forget till I live what happened.

Yesterday we won the reserve league, and I even managed to score, and now minutes ago I've seen the most magnificent football experience I've ever had. I could hardly sleep last night, but now I will certainly be awake until dawn. It was unbeliveable, simple unbeliveable what happened at Anfield. This can't be told, you have to see it yourself! It was a crazy game, I am so happy and proud to be in the stands and to see, hear and feel this wonder.

It is not new to me that the song 'You'll Never Walk Alone' makes my hair stand up on my neck. I've even sang it until I got home. I'm really thankful to God, that I could be there. This kind of match only happens once in a lifetime. It was a huge experience, It could sound strange, but I feel it was even better then winning the reserve league yesterday, even tough I wore that Red jersey, I scored a goal and I became champion at Liverpool for the first time. Now I've realised, that yesterday it was just the beginning, the real big things are waiting for me. I hope I'll be able to get there.

But lets speak about the reserve game too, because everyone could see what happened at Anfield, but only some of you watched the reserve game. So, at the start we all knew, that in case of a victory we are champions. The match began well, I had some good moves and some through balls, but unfortunately my teammates could not score from them. And suddenly I got a nice ball, went through the defence and passed the ball into the net. I was really happy, as the whole team was. We calmed down from then and dominated the whole game. I did not have more chances before Simi (Andras Simon) came off the bench for me. I think he showed in the last 15 minutes, that he is a good player.

Damien Plessis played 15 minutes too, but he is an other story. I think he is one of our best players. Liverpool bought him from Lyon and he played with us the whole season. On friday Rafa Benitez told him, that he wants to play him againts Arsenal in the PL game. And he lived with his big chance. We were all proud of him. He is only 20 years old and he could play his first team debut agains Arsenal away, and he even played the full 90 minutes.

I think, now everyone can see how Rafa Benitez thinks about us and how he trusts the young players. It is not only a promise that you will get your chance. Everyone gets his chance when the boss feels he is ready for the first team. Damien's example motivates us even more.

As for the celebrations after the reserve game, it was like we were at a funeral. We congratulated each other, got dressed up and went to the bus. You could ask the question why we did not throw a party? The answer is: Gary Ablett thinks we achived nothing with this win. There will be a final between the north champions and the south champion in may. So we have nothing to be pleased with until we've won that match. And Gary Ablett said we won't have a party if we achieve that, because we don't work to win the reserve league, we work to be ready for the first team. This is the point in everydays work.

As for the motivation, Rafa Benitez - even tough they had the Arsenal game today - came to us to congratulate. He even told me, that the reserve team haven't won the league for 10 years. It feels good for me to be part of this little success. And on top of that, the first team is in the semi-final of the Champions league.

As for the reserves, we have a Man City game in our hands next. I don't know if I will play or not, but I think others will play who did not do that reguraly. I have learned the lesson, that here in Liverpool everybody has to do his best when he gets the chance. Ryan Babel is the good example for this in tonight's game.

Cant wait to see him get a crack at some Prem opposition.

Interesting that he called Alonso a world class penalty taker, maybe he was just being a kiss-arse but I'm always nervous when I see him stepping up.

Agreed, and I would now deffo add Spearing to that list.

He did not convince me at first because I thought he would not be able to make the transition from reserve team to the first team, but in fairness he has been excellent everytime he has come on in pre-season. Very tidy and effective little player.
