Next 3 games will be interesting.
Man City, pressurise Robinho and SWP, give them no time on the ball and City are exposed.
Wigan, Good side,Zaki is a good player, real handful and Bruce is our bogey manager
Chelsea-nothing to be said, beat them and confidence goes through the roof.
7 from 9 would be good,9 would be fantastic

I dont think we'll go and press City at the COM. I think it'd be better for us if they come at us a little and try to play. We can deal with them defensively and them pick them off on the counter.Originally posted by PoolG View PostNext 3 games will be interesting.

Zaki's good and Bruce does seem to get results against us, but Wigan at Anfield has to be a home banker, if we have ANY genuine title intentions.
As for Chelsea, it'd be wonderful to end their 846 game (or whatever it is) unbeaten league run at their place.

I would agree but he has that voodoo over us bringing both Birmingham and Wigan to Anfield and escaping with a point. We can afford to take a point from it cos we'll do Chelsea the week afterOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostI dont think we'll go and press City at the COM. Next 3 games are crucial, if we can get through these games and still be top, that will put us in a very good position. The 8 games following this look very winnable (on paper), so we will have an excellent opportunity to get a winning streak going.
If we can pick up 7 points out of the next 3 games that will keep us top. But as long we pick up atleast 5 points I dont think that should do too much damage.

), we're at home, we're far better than Wigan and we have to win that type of game.

We're not top at the moment, so i'm not sure how it'll 'keep' us top.Originally posted by Hammer View PostNext 3 games are crucial, if we can get through these games and still be top, that will put us in a very good position. I think, if we are to mount a serious challenge, we need to beat City away and Wigan at home. We're capable of beating Chelsea too but 7 points would be a very good return.

I think that we have a good chance to do well this year. I think Rafa has been almost spot on so far... and this best is still yet to come... beating Chelsea at their place represents the next challenge that I expect we are well worth delivering on... Lets not forget they took away our unbeaten in the league record a few years ago... so I expect history - as it does do this from time to time - serves up that we will be the team to end their unbeaten at home record - at has to end sometime soon, and I have a feeling it will be us - and maybe even a Keane Torres (1-2) win to do it.Originally posted by elvoz View Post[/B]

I would just like us to keep our feet on the ground. Beating the Mancs was a massive boost. And we all felt like the point against Stoke was a loss!
This year could be it - but I, like many of you on here don't want to get my/our hopes up too much....
3 points on wednesday against PSV - and then I'll look forward to going to face that Manchester Samba Beat on saturday.

I mean level at the top, as we are only seperated by goal difference at the moment, which doesn't mean much at this stage of the season.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWe're not top at the moment, so i'm not sure how it'll 'keep' us top.

The longer we stay there then I'm sure the more determined the players will be not to relinquish that position.

I think we are worse off. We beat Villa away last year and did Derby at home (Stoke) so thats 4 points dropped. We lost to Man Utd so that brings it to 1 point worse off. All the other results are the same.Originally posted by liverpool View PostAnyone have 1 of those tracker things where you compare Liverpool results to last years results such as Home lose to Man U last year, Home Win this year 3 up.Forwards.......

Agree with Torres...if we're still in the mix come Feb then who knows.
Very encouraging start to the season indeed and our two best performances have come in our two biggest games on paper.
Lets keep it going."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."
