He simply ain't good enough....qualify that wih a yet if you want. The guy has positive attributes no doubt but his passing ain't great and he is prone to make mistakes (especially when in possession) that he and LFC will be punished for at the top level.Originally posted by alex1982 View PostAs for Insua being too inexperienced surely the best way for him to get experience would be for him to play? Rooney was good enough at 17, Fabregas was good enough at 17 so why not Insua at 19 or whatever he is?
I would say he needs another season or two and some more outings in cup games, sub appearances etc before he is ready to be considered for first team.

Not trueOriginally posted by -V- View PostAurelio is always injured
He has had unfortunate injuries but that can happen to anyone anytime
Last year he regained fitness and played from the end of November to the infamous Chelsea game at the end of April.
So not always injured.
Aurelio is a good attacking full back and I think he and Dossena will be fighting for the same spot in the team, which can only be good news surely

I just think he's too small to make it in the Premier League - he doesn't have enough pace to make up for it like a Clichy or Evra either.Originally posted by Dessy View PostHe simply ain't good enough....qualify that wih a yet if you want. I think the 7 subs rule will enable us to have youngsters like pacheo and nemeth on the bench and i think in the games where the teams have parked the bus they could be a good surprise.
Already in pre season i have seen Pacheo play some very nice through balls to set up goals.**********

Rafa just thought it was a good idea to waste money on another player, no?

Insua is nowhere near the class of the 2 that you mention and as such isnt ready for regular top flight football, he's a young guy who shows promise at the moment.Originally posted by alex1982 View PostAs for Insua being too inexperienced surely the best way for him to get experience would be for him to play? i think it has been - i'm sure when we signed him i checked his stats and i don't think he has ever played more than 25 games a season. In what averages a 60 game season thats not a lot.Originally posted by rage View Postwe can see why he arrived on a free, the lad has talent but just when he gets a regular spot and starts to get some consistency he's injured. if he's been like this all his career then this will not change.
Dossena looks a good buy and was needed.
Dossena first choice left back
Aurelio pushing for his place providing good cover
Insua coming through and can step in to lesser games or as cover for when(not if) aurelio picks up a knock and misses a few games here and there.
We have a similar set up on the right which is good too
I reckon one of finnan or arbeloa may leave - i'd like arbeloa to stay, finnan has been great but i'm not sure if we can squeeze another FULL season at the top out of him - but something like
Arbeloa first choice
Degen/Finnan as back and pushing for a place
Darby coming through and providing cover
and if needed we have carragher.
When you add the two keepers we now have and the four exceptional centebacks - the defence 'squad' is as strong as ever!i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
