    Utrecht strike Brouwer deal.

Utrecht have struck a deal with Liverpool to take promising striker Jordy Brouwer on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old is yet to break through into the Reds' first team after joining from Ajax's academy in January 2007.

Brouwer is a regular in Liverpool's reserve side, although he is now set to garner experience in the Eredivisie.

    Not for sale
Utrecht are reportedly keen to have the option of buying Brouwer permanently in the deal, but the Reds are against selling.
Brouwer could well have the option of a second destination with ADO Den Haag also enquiring about his availability.

In what could turn into a double deal for Utrecht, the club have also agreed a deal with Real Sociedad for Morten Skoubo.

"He wants to come here," said technical director Piet Buter. "He is looking forward to playing for an attack-minded team."

He wont make it here and I hope he does well and we make a few quid from him
Oh the man is a midfield maestro

some players develop differently and who is to say that he won;t eventually make it..... put it this way, i bet a lot of people wouldn't have thought that Sinana Pongolle would have made it to Atletico Madrid but lo and behold he has and will be a champions league player (one that plays most of the games) next season.....

Also, although Mellor looked good for a while, he is now off the radar. I know a lot of people didn't think he'd make it at LFC but i feel that a lot of people thought that he could do the bsiness with somebody like Blackburn or Aston Villa.....

point i'm trying to make is this - just because Nemeth has excelled and made Brower look like he won't make the grade, sometimes players have different rates of improvement....you never know, he could turn into a class player

i know it appears like that but yo never know...that is my point.

I suppose Nemeth and Pacheco look so ****in good that he will find it hard to get past them in the pecking order...let alone our first teamers who are all young.

Good post and very true. It is about identifying their mentality and how they best develop. Much like some people like to work alone or in a team.
