    Rafa Considering His Options

Not sure of the accuracy of this report, but you never know Rafa's judgement as now been called in question twice by our owners that would be more than enough for most people to resign

These guys are complete idiots and are ruining our football club, it is not their place to question the manager's transfer policy.

:bird: Get lost G & H you no nothing about football

Nicey f**k off it was on the net simply highlighting what could develop

It as a much validity as anything else posted on here, it is not something I want to hear but who could blame the guy for wanted a change and dealing with professionals as opposed to the muppets running our club

Simple thing about the net you dont like something dont read it

Not stating an opinion just highlighting that this kind of speculation which affects the club has already started and is only likely to escalate and will no doubt surface in the papers, just what we need before the season starts

Thanks Gillette and Hicks, knew it had gone too quiet, great time just before a champions league qualifier aswell !!!!!!!

          Got to love their timing

Get off his back for posting an article ffs.

I would not blame Rafa for considering his options if it is true that the two ****s are telling him how much Barry is worth.

He left Valencia because he did not get the backing from the boardroom.

Everytime any none happy news\ rumour is posted on here people get shot down.

true G&H are idiots but they are not questioning Rafa's transfer policy. They are simply not going to bow to villa's demands and pay way over the top for Gareth Barry. Since they came to liverpool it seems to me that they have backed rafa pretty well in the market.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Talking of options, so which club can Rafa go to where the board will give him carte blance in the transfer market? He will be lucky to even get a say anywhere else...

What if the Glazers hadn't backed the manager with Carrick & Hargreaves, 35mill, widely reported at the time of purchase to be costing well over what they were worth.

Our owners don't know football, we all agree on that surely.

How is being told we can spend £18M on a player, just not Barry, equate to not being backed by the board? He's spent £192M since he arrived here, about £100M net, which for me is plenty of backing from two different boards.

I would hope Rafa is realistic to know that if a deal doesn't make financial sense for the club then it isn't one we should pursue. I suspect if Torres, Babel and Lucas hadn't been as young as they were we probably wouldn't have bought them for similar reasons.

the glazers backed the manager over hargreaves and carrick because they desperately needed those two players. they were both young players and gave the board to make their money back off them. we dont desperately need barry. he is older than xabi and definately no better than him. and we will not make any money back on him....no where near what we have to pay for hm.

i do agree that the owners know dick about football but i back their decision not to pay over the odds for barry.

I don't see it as Carte Blanche, every body on this site almost, agreed not so long ago that it's better for a manager to have the say on all things football, i would include in that judgement, what price is worth paying for a player, and if what he'll give to LFC for the price is worth it.

We are talking about a difference of 3-4 mill here, as the reason H&G wont buy, not 20mill or something.
