I can give you a prospective on the Leicester lads:

Martin doesn't look like he will get his loan contract extended by Leicester. City already have Paul Henderson who can fill in.

Hobbs has had a good season so far. I will ask my mates who support Leicester more about him.

        Hobbs focused on Foxes
Defender puts Liverpool future on hold until the summer

        Last updated: 5th January 2009

Jack Hobbs is not worrying about his long-term future at Liverpool during his loan spell at Leicester City.

The promising defender has made 26 appearances for the Foxes after joining the League One club on a season-long loan.

He is tipped as a bright prospect for the future and has played five first-team games for Liverpool since his 2005 move from Lincoln City.

The 20-year-old is unsure how he fits into Rafa Benitez's long-term plans at Anfield, but will wait until the end of the season before discussing the situation.
        Developing

"I'm here until the end of the season and I'm in a winning side," said Hobbs in the Daily Star. "I'm developing well as a player.

"My main aim is to do well for Leicester and then I will go back to Liverpool in the summer.

"I can't tell you what will happen in the future, but I'm just focused on this season.

"I've got another year at Liverpool and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

          Hatters close on double deal
Mooney and Threlfall set to join on loan

          Last updated: 5th January 2009

Stockport County have lined up a double loan deal for Liverpool full-back Robbie Threlfall and Reading striker Dave Mooney.

Skysports.com revealed the Hatters' interest in Threlfall last week, with the defender now back to fitness after injury cut short a spell at Hereford United.

Threlfall is due to spend a month with Stockport and the League One club hope to tie up the deal before Tuesday's game with Cheltenham Town.

The Hatters have also confirmed Irish forward Mooney is due to move to Edgeley Park on a month-long loan from Reading.

Mooney was a target for Stockport boss Jim Gannon last summer, but opted to join Reading in a £100,000 deal from Cork City.

However, he has made just two substitute appearances in the Carling Cup for the Royals and will now gain first-team experience at Stockport.

Does he mean should as in that is what is likely to happen or that he doesn't rate him? Resu says that the loan is being extended for Martin btw.

Doesn't rate him. Might be because he is a young goalkeeper and a lot of the fans in the lower leagues like their older keepers. I personally don't see Martin having a future at the club unlike Bouzanis who has potential.

I'm not going to argue with Nigel Pearson, he's a big fella and he has got Leicester to the top of League 1.

I honestly think that if Martin can do well at League 1 level which presumably he has been as he is first choice at the top team then he has a chance of a future. For young keepers the lower leagues are a decent testing ground - for example Joe Lewis got into the England squad on the back of performances in League 2.

True but I think my mate is more desperate to get out that league and possibly wanted some experience rather than a inexperienced keeper which is understandable. Did Martin play for the MK Dons first team?

17 times according to wikipedia. I think the fact he started out as a defender is a good sign - Rafa seems to like keepers to be willing to come and and be good with the ball at their feet.

This guy is seriously overrated imo. Spearing could be heading to Ipswich on loan which would be a very good move. According to Gedo on RAWK

At least some of the loan players are doing OK:
Anderson (Forest) and Flynn (Wrexham) scored
martin and Hobbs both played the entire game when Leicester won.
Sounds like Leto is doing OK as well.

Despite Ben's mates reservations it is impressive for a young keeper like Martin to be a regular at a league topping team. I'm quite hopeful about him.

Just got word from my mate: Nigel Pearson wants to sign Jack Hobbs next season if and when they get into the Championship, not sure whether Hobbs would go but it would mean regular football for him.

Hobbs scored Leicester's fourth goal today.
