    Voronin moans at Reds boss.

Andriy Voronin has bemoaned his lack of first team opportunities at Liverpool, claiming Rafa Benitez will never give him a fair crack of the whip.

Voronin is said to be attracting interest from Bundesliga side Hamburg, who are managed by former Tottenham manager Martin Jol.

The Ukrainian forward has enjoyed an impressive pre-season, but he has rarely produced the goods when it has mattered for Benitez’s men.

Robbie Keane’s arrival has undoubtedly made Voronin’s route to the top even harder, but the real slap in the face came on Wednesday against Standard Liege when young attacker Nabil El Zhar was preferred as a late substitute.

Voronin is seen as one of Benitez’s sellable assets as he tries to raise funds for one more transfer, and the 29-year-old does not predict a bright future at Anfield.

"It looks as if there will be no honest competition for my position," he was quoted as saying in The S*n.

"I think it has been filled whatever I do."

If he spoke to that rag and cut up the boss then he has to go rapid.
Yet another Liverpool player who thinks he is better than he is.

The rag quotes our players all the time, doesn't necessarily mean he's spoke to a S*n reporter. If he's said that then he's a silly boy but he's probably right and a parting seems the best solution all round.

Excellent news, another piece of deadwood out the door sharpish. Just Pennant, Finnan and maybe Kuyt (shock, horror ;-), not Kuyt! ) left.

Top man Andriy hopefully that's speeded up your exit and we can get back in for Barry for £3 million and some honey roasted peanuts.

I don't see what he's hoping to achieve by saying this, also the timing is quite poor, he must have known that since we signed Keane that he was going to be back up
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

In fairness, there never should have been any in the first place.

I really don't rate him generally, but I thought he would have been a good option in last night's game. Voronin's pretty strong, and against a team with a physical gameplan like SL he may have fared better than Torres or Keane. In my opinion.

as for the Crow, I can sort of see what he means, he's worked hard in pre season scored goals, but it's only one game and he's not played, cant start moaning now.

I think he is actually a beter player than given credit for, but not by much. He's also a bellend and would be better off playing for a London club. He'd fit in there.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

However to stick up for the guy a little, those quotes were from last week and i guess it's just the gutter press trying to make more trouble before the start of the season
