TH Was Right! Parry is Incompetent.

Whether or not he is totally to blame for the Barry deal collapsing it is clear and has been for a long time that Rafa has no respect for him, and why should he.

Parry is and has always been a usless cunt since he arrived at Anfield. I met him on a few occassions and he is one arrogant conceited cunt.

Not only is he guilty of having one of the top football brands in the world and doing **** all commercially with it, he was part of the Idiot team that sold us to the yanks.

Whilst i support every effort to remove these yanks it's my belief that every supporter and every Liverpool supporter's website (except kraptalk) should channel their efforts into getting rid of this ****ing usless idiot ... the financial climate will take care of the yanks.

I do not post often and i am not even a great lurker but when i listened to Rafa and could see how pissed he is that was enough for me, i dont want the yanks but i want spongbob head less.

    over and out!

Bollox! Without going into previous history, it appears that Rick Parry has been following the direction of the Board. Whether we agree with the board or not (and many fans have agreed that Barry was overpriced), their decision was not to proceed.

Yes that has upset Rafa, but don't blame Parry for following the instructions of his bosses.

He is useless i agree and don't blame Rafa for being sick of him

However on this occasion, Villa were desperate to keep their captain and if Parry couldn't get them to lower their £18m valuation then it's not really his fault. Villa knew very well that they could ask for an inflated fee and it would put the transfer off so what could Parry do if they didnt budge? I believe they stuck to their valuation because they simply didn't want to sell.

Bollox is it ??? I am not sure how you mean that because the word bollocks used as a verb means a) making a mess of ... or b) destroy or ruin ... both that define Parry's tenure with LFC perfecrtly. But on this occassion i will assume its directed at me although i am not sure what i have made a mess of or what i have ruined ... not your day i hope

If Rick Parry was following the direction of the board then he clearly sided with them on the Barry issue thus between them (board & Parry) they undermined the manager, something that never should happen. They clearly did not back the judgement of the manager and by the way the team captain also who after all know more about the game and the needs of the team than a bunch of suits who claim to be businessmen.

These same businessmen who's judgement you back over our manager (RP,TH + GG) are the ones have steered this once proud club into debt like we have never known before.

As i said in my opening line "even he was not totally to blame" sort of directed you to the point that my opinion was based on something more than one issue with this guy, not on wheteher Barry was overpriced or not (by the way i think 18M is way to much).

As for Parry following the board line, i know one big part of the board would like him to follow his line, he told him to resign a few months back because he felt Parry was incompetent and out of his depth at a big club like liverpool so i pray you are right and the idiot does follow at least part of the board line.

Anyhow my rare visit to the forum over (wonder why) its now beer time.

I'm by no means backing Parry, but he is an employee of the club and he has to do what his bosses tell him to do. The Yanks are the ones that have underminded Rafa. Whatever your opinions of Parry if Hicks and Gillette refuse to sanction the transfer there's nothing he can do
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I've know idea whether it's been Parry's fault that possible transfers have been screwed up over the years, however IMO he's culpable for the clubs shocking lack of proper marketing until very recently.

Whilst I've not been overly happy with Rafa's forays into the transfer market, and I was particularly disappointed with his comments about ALonso, which I felt had the effect of marginalising him, it is clear to me that Rafa expected the deal to be done and for Alonso to be sold. Then the Barry deal to be done. Now it seems both these deals have been scuppered by Parry's negotiations and the valuations the club has set for both players.

This is a big ****ing mess. The club is a shambles, and it is clear that the actions of Parry and the board are jeopardising the manager's ability to do his job.

Absolutely ridiculous that we're discussing these matters on the day of our opening league fixture.

While there are many valid criticisms of Parry I don't think there is anything he could do in the Barry fiasco if G&H won't stump up the cash. Villa have a wealthy owner and no need to sell unless their valuation is met. Presumably all there was for Parry to negotiate with was the payment terms and by all accounts an accommodation between the two clubs was made at the time of the original Villa deadline - but then for whatever reason someone on the finance side refused the funds. I'm not sure, short of coming up with the money himself what he was supposed to do.

I seriously don't know the answer to this, but who (or whom) can we thank for bringing in the clubs most valuable asset - Rafael Benitez?
