Oh you're the muppet no doubt. On this form Xabi deserves his place. Was too infrequent last season. Anyway, there's sterner tests ahead and I doubt he'll get as much space as he had today.

Alonso changed the game really. Looked much much better in the second half and actually created something positive.
Dossena a completely different player, looked good in the 2nd half.
Arbeloa was atrocious, maybe I've given him too much credit. Nervous and ****.
Gerrard got into more advanced positions, Benayoun was really good I thought and offered some creativity.
Kuyt is ****ing ****, and the fact that he was kept on while Benayoun and Keane were taken off concerns me. He was useless today and I don't think he'll be much better this season.
And once again.
Thank god for Torres.
What a player.
P.S Keane's goal tally is -1

Doesnt give us width tho does it? Stevie power past players, we need someone with trickery. I dont mind SG being at RW, but in that case we need xomeone left-footed opposite cos he'll drift in too much to keep our width.Originally posted by El Jefecito View PostWe already have the best in the world. SG.
Am really chuffed Xabi did so well today. Let's hope he can keep it up.

Look at Torres's face. !st interview in English straight after a game?3rd place. Worst champions ever.

3 points away, a draw turned into a win. With all of the bull**** and distractions these past weeks, 3 points and a Torres goal will do just fine. I hope we can find focus and the cutting edge as we move forward, but this would have been 1 point last year... already an improvement, I think. he's been pretty good in pre-season too.Originally posted by rage View Postwell seeing as though it was the 1st game of the season and he's had a consistant 45 mins so far i don't see a problem.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

But I don't want width for the sake of width. I want someone playing on the RW who scores and assists. There is no-one else around who would give you more in that role than SG.Originally posted by PC Plod View PostDoesnt give us width tho does it?
