I don't think Babel has the composure to play wide, he is a striker and that's where he should play. In fact maybe we should have given Babel the Keane role this season.

At his best he is good as anything around but we need more of that please xabi. One game played - one assist - and 3 points - well done xabi.
just showed why we need to keep him here.

A woeful first half, decent 2nd. Who cares about the performance - the win was all that mattered. Xabi turned the game in our favour and Nando won it. This will give us confidence and a good win at Anfield next time will set us up nicely.

Unconvinced TBH mate. Looks like he could be great, but his end product, game intelligence & fitness needs a lot of work. Also, he beats men by pace, not close control, wich means he's less dangerous against tightly-packed, deep-sitting defences. We dont have a player that creates space for themselves & others in that way.

i think its clicked with alonso that rafa doesnt think he's doing enough in games. Its ok playing in your comfort zone but unfortunately its not been good enough for us and this is the kick up the arse that xabi needed to get him focused.

He shouldnt assume he's the support act to gerrard all the time - the robin to batman.

the boy can play and its time for him to run the show.

We need him to run the show, because Gerrard can't do that.

Problem was he had to change his game to sit back more when playing alongside Stevie.

I really hope Xabi can regain his form & him & RAfa sort it out between em tho, cos we play so much smoother when he's up to scratch.

Rafa`s faith in him and what i saw of him last yr.He holds the ball well and has an eye for goal.problem with him last season was he mostly cut inside. He was supposedly working on going outside with the ball and putting in the cross.Something he was getting better and better at by end of the season.

Rafa has faith in Kuyt too Johnny and he is pants. Rafa's faith doesn't make a player good, the fact is Babel is played out wide in a position he doesn't like and a position he isn't that good at. So we are still missing a good player out wide.

£20m for Keane was way too much, he isnt worth half of that, the game turned partly when he went off, Torres is hindered when playing alongside a player like that. The Irish Cunt bit was just messing, i should of put a smiley face on it, ooops.

Rafa said before the game though that Keane could play in a wide position, i would like to see that but i'm not convinced.

initially i thought that in the 4231 formation he could replace kuyt on the right hand side but with the purchase of keane, i think he'll end up playing there and gerrard in the middle with babel on the left.

he has everything in his locker. now its up to him.

You say these things as though they are fact and not opinion. You then use them to beat Rafa.I actually agree that we need 2 wide players but unfortunately they are a commodity these days rash.Every winger we`ve bid for in the last 5 yrs has been vastly overpriced or has slipped through the net due to Parry`s inadequacies.
Therefore Rafa will try to use Babel`s pace and Pennants trickery when he thinks they`ll be effective and Bennayoun and Gerrard when we play the bigger teams.
