Is Charles Itandje still our player? And Dan Ackroyd?? Are you making some of these names up? But I see your point, and agree.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

          What does non-academy mean?
Players that are not "self-made" by the new rules? If so,that list has to be wrong, loads of the players with numbers are from with-in the club.
If it means something else I havn`t got a clue what, so please enlighten me.

Half of those are from the 'elite' reserve squad

              Dan Ackroyd
              We come not to play.

I would understand it to mean players not dwelling in the safe "nest" of the academy - players who are either first team squad, or who have moved beyond the realms of the academy and are in "make or break" territory - either in the first team, out on loan, or on the fringes.

It does seem that many of these youngsters will never really get a chance. Is that a bad thing? Maybe not. The more of them you have the more chance that one or two of them are going to make the first team.

Exactly. The players listed are from the Official site as first team squad; they aren't able to play for an Academy side.

We seem to have a huge number of players!

Well of those who won't be in the first team, (and don't forget the 7 subs rule opens up possibilities for some of those to get a look in this season), expect to see at least another 5 or 6 go out on loan before the window closes, a reserve team squad needs around 18-19 players if you don't incorporate first team players which we don't, so I think we're just about right personally

Saving that for our new defensive midfielder.
