It was a bit harsh, the red card.

A very frustrated Lucas it seemed, and a bit harsh red card. Could (should perhaps) have been a yellow... Good second half in the game though!

That means he's suspended for the bronze medal game on Friday and may be able to fly home - seeing as Brazil were already losing 2-0 and on the way out, could Masch and Lucas have contrived a situation where a red card was brandished thus making Lucas available for Saturday??

A conspiracy theory eh.....you foul me and i'll go down like a sack of ****, he he. Nah, don't think it's possible to predict the reaction of a ref to a tackle like that, and to be sure of it working someone could be hurt.

I doubt it very much that he will fly home straight away. The rest of the squad has still got a medal to play for , So he would still want to be presented with his medal with the rest of his team mates which is unfortunate.Providing they win of course

If they were going to deliberately do something so one of them could come home early, i wish they had done it the other way around.

Look on the bright side, both are a significant step up from Plessis and should enable us to play SG in the final 3rd. Getting SG further up the pitch is the most important thing to me.

Try get that trio of Torres, Keane and Gerrard working in attack.

Babel back as well. His pace will have a few worrying. I think it will take a 5-10 games for that front 4 to work out how best to play together but as a front 4 they have it all.

With Mascherano back we should see Dossena making a lot more forward runs as well, looking forward to having the full team back and getting organised.
