Over priced yes.....value for money ?.......we'll never know until he puts on a Liverpool shirt, so maybe we never will.

I mean Drogba was over priced when the Chav's bought him........but he has certainly ended up being value for money.

I blame the internet, without it I wouldn't have a clue any of this **** was going on.
I can't help but think there isn't as much money available as the Yanks are making out. The price was set by Villa in April/May why did it taken until August for them to decide he wasn't worth the money. The saga has been dragged out as long as possible in the how the deadline will pass without us having time to put a big money deal together.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think they were what you would call 'negotiating' Villa set their price but that does not mean thats the price that will be paid.

Unfortunately we probably had Parry leading our negotiations
        We come not to play.

because until recently rafa had led his board to believe that alonso was worth more than barry.

Is it though? He's keeping Carrick and Hargreaves our of the England team and they went for similar amounts.
