There’s something very insulting about Liverpool FC

Having just had the pleasure of watching Djibril Cisse score the winner against Spurs on his Sunderland debut, I switched over to the Liverpool/Boro game that I had been watching before.

And didn’t Middlesbrough come unlucky right at the end? Having battled all match, closing Liverpool down and playing some very good football, Liverpool came back to grab two late goals from Carragher and Gerrard to steal the match 2-1.

It’s not the last minute style of the win that just irks me - it’s the general cheating culture that has permeated Liverpool that everyone can see but for the Liverpool fans.

Scousers will no doubt cry out in protest, but the Kop are the easiest litmus test here: every foul is decried as some kind of attack on their players, every dive is a stone-wall penalty followed by chants of ‘f— off, ref’, ditto every offside decision…and maybe it was just the Fox Sports’ commentator’s ‘every now and then you need a bit of British’ rubbish spouted as always.

Almost every club does the ref-belittling, every club has its one-eyed supporters…but the Kop have made a religion out of it. And frankly, it’s vile.

"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Hahahaha. That's just funny. And coming from an Arsenal fan too.... I bet they never appeal when any of their lot go over in the box. How the crowd appealing for fouls is "a cheating culture" I really don't know.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
      Mine angry and defrauded young?

It's ironic, because Wenger is one of the worst losers out there. I wonder if this fan remembers that penalty Pires won against Portsmouth. Or the Arsenal players 'attack' on Van Nistelrooy at Manchester.

Yup, how many times in their games against Chelsea or ManU in recent years have they ended up with a massive player brawl or similar? Virtually in every single one.

To be fair to the guy though, he's upset, they just had a rubbish loss at Fulham (and I think the Geordies could get a point at their place next weekend too), we shouldn't be too hard on him

Yes, it does actually smack of a kind of 'oh for f*cks sake' reaction to our late goals, and then even more so to their defeat.

For once its good we can be the team that jams a win, rather than the one left casting about for people to blame after an embarassment.

I think Arsenal could really have some issues this season, unlike us they really don't know how to win ugly and, especially since Henry left, don't kill a lot of teams off when they are playing well. We're far from perfect ourselves, but I really think we'll finish above them this year.

For a bit of a laugh if that's alright?

Sour grapes from an Arsenal fan so it's funny.

Just as someone posted a thread from United's main fans forum earlier.

Cheating culture? This coming from someone who cheered every moment Patrick Viera was on the pitch.

Some of the brummie ******s on this thread were more worried about our winner than their
                          defeat at Stoke.
