It's crazy, it really is. Evra was a liability in his 1st season, Finnan was poor for us in his first season. But lets right everyone off after 3 games

How long did Crouch take to settle and play to his level?

I can't believe people are writing off Dossena after two Premiership games. I seem to remember threads on how impressed people were with him during pre-season. I get the feeling some people expect every new player to make a Torres-esque impact nowadays.

Probably the same people who wanted Skertle sacked after his first game, it's beyond ridiculous.

The one thing I do know is that when has spent big on his defence, his track record is hard to beat.

It is just my opinion based on what I have seen since Dossena made his debut. His overall game just does not look good enough IMO. Gets caught out of position way too much.

I know it is a knee jerk reaction to write him off so soon but in all honesty my absolute gut feeling is he will be a disaster. Hope he proves me wrong and everytime he plays I am 100% behind him of course, but I am just giving my honest opinion.

I would replace him with Aurelio at LB asap.

well to be fair even rafa said he needs to work on that, saying he used to play wingback, where he had more cover for his attacking runs. now he plays in a 4man defence and needs to time his runs to perfection, and well even that isn't good enough if his teammates don't pick him up with a pass or lose the ball when he's out of position!

I do get it mate thank you. As far as I am concerned Aurelio and even Riise are/were attacking full backs - yet they did not leave us as exposed as Dossena has on occasions already. Hope he sorts it out but I am not full of confidence TBH.
