    Robbie Keane

I was just thinking back to last season when we bought Crouchie.

It did not take many games without scoring for the rags to start their smear campaign about him being a waste of money, crap player, etc.....

I wonder how many more games Keane has to play without scoring before the circus starts again.

He will score the winner tonight followed by headlines of how he has all ready repaid most of his transfer fee by getting the goal that qualifies us for the group stages.

To be fair, Crouch did everything bar score in his earlier games. Robbie at the minute is just trying to hard, and consequently struggling.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

A few Spurs fans have tried to laugh about the £20m we spent on Keane. They say he's over the hill and that they're happy as hell that he's gone for that amount of money.

Then I just ask them how many games have they won since he left.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

He has been toilet so far, there's no hiding from it. Can only get better, and I'm sure he will.

Apparently Robbie Keane has not scored a goal in August since 1999 dont know how true this is but Im not worried I would be very happy that he continues this run and score his first goal in September against the mancs and if its a winner then every supporter will treat hm as god

The main difference is that Crouch cost a third of what Keane did, and was sold on at a profit of over 50%.

Then again, Crouch also cost a third of what Torres did and only scored 42 goals in 3 years.

Indeed, it's a fine line and sometimes you get it very right, other times less so.

It's incredible the impact Mascherano has on the side.

While I think Keane is in isolation a good signing and when we start playing well will bring a lot to the team I do wonder why we went for him above a wide player. I guess there is the possibility that he was the only one of our first choice signings we could afford or persuade to come but unless we play Gerrard right hand side I think he tends to unbalance us at the minute.

Yes u right bud, he is immense and such a influence on our side. Having Masch in the side allows the other players to express themselves
I think Villa is in for some trouble this weekend. Keane will come good, he working his socks off.
