Yep great that he's finally nailed his colours to the mast and publicly condemned G&H. We need another huge push to get these two jokers out ASAP.

Disagree mate. whilst these countries are building for themselves, they are in part building on the back of their strong economies which are to some extent fuelled by demand elsewhere.

If the rest of the world goes into recession then whilst they may not recess themselves their demand for commodities will have to fall.

Incidentally have you not noticed that oil prices have reduced recently even taking into account the issues in South Ossetia?

Steel prices are starting to fall now that the demand from China is not there.

I'd stake my life on strong growth in developing Asia. No question. I'm an Oil Market Analyst so I'm always watching the oil price. Oil is currently trapped in $115 - 120 range. But I can promise you that a fall below $100 is not likely, there is far more risk on the upside.

Just a matter of time before the groundshare word is uttered. Lucky that bitters dont have a pot to piss on.

Depends how you define strong. I agree there will be growth but it's going to be less marked than if the rest of the world was booming.

If you're an oil analyst then I bow to your wisdom, but there's no dispute that the price has stabilised. A couple of months back there was talk of it hitting $150 a barrel by the end of the year.

It all happened too quickly when the DIC deal fell through, perhaps to avert a PR disaster or maybe they genuinely believed it was a better deal. Whatever the reason, Parry and Moore had a duty to the club the give long and careful consideration to the offer, which they clearly failed to do, and their negligence has created the worst crisis this club of ours has seen.

All 4 of them are responsible for the current situation be it from negligence or greed, and none of them deserve to have any part in the future of our club.
Sorry to say this, but the information I have learned from an ex player who is still very much involved with the club, it was David Moores alone who decided to go with the Americans as it was a bigger offer.

I'm not a Parry fan as I think he has been lazy about our business dealings both on and off the pitch, but the sale to the Americans was absolutely not his fault. Nor was it the fault of the other shareholders. Moores went for the extra loot and with it he mortgaged the future of the club. Frankly I was shocked to hear this but, as I say, it comes directly from an ex player.

Well it was obviously something wasn't it. Selling to a group who offer less, but are true supporters of the club with real money....or take a better financial deal personally from a couple of clowns who knew nothing about the club or indeed the sport, had a lot less to invest financially and have a history of bankruptcy. No brainer, line your pockets with more cash.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

While my initial reaction to Thursday's revelations was one of horror now, having thought about it, I fail to see how it's bad news. If my memory serves me right it's what we all hoped for all along wasn't it? If they'd got the cash and started the ground we'd have been chained to the cunts for years. As it stands there's now surely a much greater probability of them selling. Could it be an exit strategy to blame the Credit Crunch? Why was the Barry transfer scrapped? It could all be related. Rumours of a buy-out have been doing the rounds in the city for a few weeks now. Shankslegend and the mods at RAWK alluded to knowing something a week or so ago but being unable to reveal all. I'm just gonna try and be optimistic and hope for the best.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Agree totally mate. I can't get interested while all this is goin' on. This, if it carries on, will de-rail our season. There's no doubt about that.

I wouldn't do any bowing I'm not that wise. But I can say that the price of oil will all depend on the strenght of the dollar, if the dollar strenghts the price will go down, however if it weakens again we could easily see prices of $150 by Christmas.

I do seem to remember Moores making a rousing speech to shareholders, telling them ALL to take the Americans offer, i really think Moores is a fan, but i can't make head nor tail of this decision.

We had a firm owned by one of the richest men in the world wanting to buy the club, yet we ended up like this.

Only speculation but i was told that DIC had agreed a fee with Moores over the sale of the club and representatives from Dubai were arranging flights for a press conference to announce the sale of the club.

They tried in vain to contact both Moores and Parry who refused to answer their calls/emails so they could make arrangements.

The next thing Dubai were told is that George Gillett had approached Davind Moores and under the advice from Rick Parry told Dubai he was obliged to show the new offer to the board.

Dubai reacted angrily to this and due to Moores going back on his word and the rumours that Parry had been contacting Gillett informing of the Dubai bid etc Sheikh Maktoum pulled out of making a bid and we now have the current owners in place.

Dubai should have countered with a larger offer but whether you think he acted wrong honour is a big thing to the Sheikh and he did not take too kindly for it.

DIC are now out of the equation but Dubai Holding are still there but from what im told things need to get worse before Dubai will make their intentions known although just how bad i do not know.

I fully expect Liverpools name to be dragged through the mud more over the next few weeks as the owners continue to humilate us again.

I don't think this is speculation. This was basically what was said after DIC deal fell through.
