It might just be that G&H are extremely savvy and are simply waiting for the global credit makets to recover so that the funding can be obtained on much lower fixed rates as they genuinely have the long term interests of the club at heart. or maybe not"My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.

i think this is great news.
in the current financial markets and prices of raw materials we don't need to take the risks on just yet as a club. i think it'll put us v close to a leeds situation. we see arsenal getting their debts down hastily for the same reason.
it will also be the final nail in the yanks coffin tho and for that im delighted. good riddance to them, moores & parry. I can't wait for the day those 2 schysters & 2 retards leave our club.

The dollar ain't going to fare better in the long term. And if it does, I doubt we can safely count on it to stand on it's own. There are too many variables which isn't in their control.
All in all, we needed people with huge capital to inject into the club so that it's basic conditions would be met. Such as building a new stadium etc ... Certainly, we can safely say that Moores and Parry didn't properly do their homework with these 2 guys.

I agree its time for another push to get these two idiots out of our club. Even if its affects performances on the pitch, as it undoubtedly did last season, its for the long term good of the club.
The fact (according to Oliver Kay) that the RBS will lend them the cash if they can put up the guarantees still worries me, I still think they will pull it off by hook or crook

Didn't that go on the regeneration of Stanley Park and such like and of course the fabled ground work on the site of the Phamtom Stadia...Originally posted by MindGuerrillas View PostWhat happens to (where has it gone) the £60m they borrowed to start work on this now? Has this just disappeared into their pockets too?
The whole issue is a farce, until Hicks finally wakes up smells the coffee and sells up, we'll be dragged down even further.
I feel this is might be the begining of the end for the current owners and their hold on our club, but when this will come to pass is anyones guess.

You don't honestly feel that we are stupid enough to think that Oh great we are happy because the delay means 13000 more seats will be installed...FGS if they cannot build a staduim with 60,000 how the **** are they going to build one with 73000...Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostBrilliant PR by the yanks once again eh? Trying to appease the fans by telling us that they are now looking into building a 73,000 capacity stadium. They're probably thinking that we won't mind the delay if it means getting a bigger stadium. And lets be honest many fans will fall for this.

Maybe so but the crunch as hit their stocks and the growth of the dollar is not stable it's up and down...Anyway even after a small hike in the dollar they say the stadium will be delayed... The reason is not because of the dollar it's because they cannot or will not put up the captial as a bond required to get the finance (the bond being muted so papers have said is 200million pounds).Originally posted by Angry Dan View PostThe dollar has improved in the last ten days against the pound.
