    Negativity...

**** me, 2 games, 2 wins, qualified for Europe and we are all at each others throats about signings, style of play etc.

I am going underground for when we actually do lose.
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Whilst the so called "negative" posters are in the minority, when it comes down to the constant bickering and name calling, both sides are as bad as each other and it is becoming tedious to say the least.

sack sackparry.......oh he's already been sacked

joke aside, we have been in bad form regarding play but its been down to sevaral things, and teams shouldn't be judged(nor should new singings) for a couple of weeks into the new season, let alone after 4 competative matches in which results, actually went our way for a change.

that said i can't see this thread going any other way then all the previous ones...

Had these games been in between games where we had played some top class footy then there would be no moaning. As soon as we start performing then this will all go away. We all know that this team will soon start shredding teams and putting 4 or 5 past someone. It's not like we are relegation candidates playing aboe our level.

We are arguably at our worst and yet have made the best start I could have hoped for. Soon enough we will raise our levels and I can only hope that the results go hand in hand. I lost track of games last season where we had about 4 gilt edged chances a game yet ended up drawing 1-1 or 0-0.
          Forwards.......

villa is a huge game as far as i'm concerned. easily on paper, the strongest opposition we face so far and we'll get wasted if we play like we have done for the last 4 games.

i'm hoping with masch back and gerrard out we'll see keane unleash in his role of the centre of a 4231 and kuyt be able to play further up the pitch.

we've played poorly but won..great...but this cannot continue. all the best teams also more than occasionally played well also.

the negativity imo (usually being a very upbeat and positive poster) is because we don't seem to have a formation, our play is disjointed and robbie keane is looking lost out there. without a shadow of a doubt we remain in Europe because we got lucky, long may that luck continue but sometimes we also need a bit more than just luck.

Think it's more down to the general feeling of negativity surrounding the club, we were supposed to be moving on, a whole new era with new wealthy owners, but since then it's been bad, knock back after knock back, in fighting, and the fortune that we have a potential saviour wanting to buy us, and that saviour being knocked back by our owners.

All comes together to paint a pretty gloomy picture. Add the stadium cancellation to it and i don't see it getting better any time soon. Unless, unless through all this we somehow go and win No 19....Dafter things have happened.

Mate, you sound like Paul Merson on the Sky website. What you and him have in common though is that you both fail to consider the fact that Villa have also been ****e this year, and if they play like they have done against us they will be the team getting smashed. They are all over the place in defence and this should counter the fact that we have been rubbish going forward. And whilst they have been good going forward, we have been reasonably tight at the back.

Score draw for me, but if we do raise our game as you say, then I would expect a win.

sometimes teams have performed to their best when everything was against them, so here's to hoping our lads can do something similar

think this formation will get the best out of Keane

whereas negativity in the negativity thread would be a double-negative or a no-no
                      'and boy could he play!.

                          Why let it bother you?

The season has barely started and the players don't have match sharpness at the moment. Our defence and goalkeeper are doing a good job and our attack is obviously taking time to get going because they lack sharpness. Mustn't forget that the Olypics and Euro 2008 have affected us more than anyone else.

Yet we are at the top of the league and into the CL. Its early days but no matter whether we are winning or not their will always be negative fans who cannot see any positives no matter what. There is no point wasting your energy talking to certain "fans" who don't like making an effort to back the team but prefer to slate every possible fault

I don't let it bother me because im more sensible than them and i know it so why should you let them bother you?

A good display and 3 points against Villa and everything will be forgotten - especially if Robbie scores.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.
