We went for a draw and we got a draw - disgraceful tactics from a Liverpool manager.

Dossenna needs games, he is a good player but he needs to be given the licence to get forward more as he has a good cross on him although he doesn't look a little laboured. On tthe other side Arbeloa looks poor but he can play through that I feel.
Nothing needs to be added on the wide areas that hasn't been said already, Rafa doesn't have much idea about attacking football.

The most disturbing thing is I have to say there I agree with that. Since those Houllier days today is the first time I have felt absolutely dejected at the style of football we seem to have adopted.Originally posted by gaz01 View Posthave to agree I've lost all patience with rafa and is defo starting to look like houlier

I just have seen nothing good about Dossena so far. Absolutely nothing in all honesty. I would say it is 7m down the drain and feel 10000% confident that he will not be here next season - you can quote me on that.Originally posted by Rashid View PostDossenna needs games, he is a good player but he needs to be given the licence to get forward more as he has a good cross on him although he doesn't look a little laboured. Can I just ask why you think that? I'm not criticizing, I'm just interested as my opinion is that he's done alright, nothing spectacular, but then no-one has been spectacular all season, but he's been fairly solid in defence, he's not getting caught out of position all the time and he looks to have decent delivery into the the box.Originally posted by looprevil View PostI just have seen nothing good about Dossena so far. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Totally agree.....we are playing so poorly and no sign of improvement for the manager at all...he has a worse negative streak than Houllier..and thats saying something......
Embarrassing performances so far this season, 5 years on and still relying on a Gerrard or Torres to win games. Real lack of quality in the team...and its showing..been our problem for last couple of seasons. We've spent poorly again, and he's bought the wrong players.
Benitez has built a workhorse team, nothing more. What happened to the formation we played at the end of last year where we looked half decent.........another long painful seaons ahead for Liverpool I fearEl Kloppo !!

Not a bad match to get a draw in but it was the manner in which we got it that annoyed me.
The team was set up for a draw even before Torres was injured. I agree that it's too early to look for Rafa's head but the game was there for the taking. Villa were very ordinary.
Unfortunately so were we.I love Sarah

OK, maybe I am giving him OTT unfair criticism but from what I have seen he just does not cut it. I just don't see 'it', whatever 'it' is, and he just seems to be an accident waiting to happen.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostCan I just ask why you think that? Fairly solid in defence? Our left side of defence has more holes than Rab C Nesbitts vest when he goes on a forward forray!! He is not pacey by any means - getting out run today by Reo-Coker only for The Chief to show him how its done. Similarly out paced by that greyhound that is Aliadiere.
Not getting caught out of position? Disgaree again mate on this - see comments above.
Decent deivery in the box? One half decent cross in every 3 or 4 is not good enough in my book. Checks back too often and doesnot have teh pace to get past people. Aurelio is far better in forward positions IMO.
I just cannot justify this 7m purchase when we already have Aurelio and also a very promising back-up in Insua. Added to that, Agger, Carra and Arbeloa have all played LB, so IMO that 7m should have been added to the kitty for a player that we really needed.

Maybe you should watch how Evra did for the Mancs when he first came to English footy. Having no time on the ball can take some getting used to. Heck, just look at the Skrtel thread and then check the Havant one from last year. Skrtel would have been sold on the spot by a few after that game!Originally posted by looprevil View PostOK, maybe I am giving him OTT unfair criticism but from what I have seen he just does not cut it. Agger to took time. In that sense Dossena has made a better start already than those two. And if you check the goals scored column and chances created by the opposition when Dossena has played you will see that he isn't to far from getting the balance right. Already a vast improvement on his pre-season showings, where I am sure most of your negativity stems from.Forwards.......

He offered more width and got in more dangerous crosses from FB that the 30m winger Ashley Young.Originally posted by looprevil View PostI just have seen nothing good about Dossena so far.
