We have played defensive against ALL teams we have played so far and luckily enough they have been sub standered so far, however we willcome unstuck against the bigger teams. The way we are playing you would think we were at the San siro or some where, HOWEVER we are winning these games!! which is all the counts at the end of the day. If we play like this all season and win the League i will not complain.

Yep - I can't stand him, but we're making it easy for him to lay into us this afternoon. I really don't understand why we are playing like this against Villa. We've got a great record at Villa park, and while they are a decent side, we are playing more defensively today than we do for the likes of Chelsea away.

He only seems to only do it to this extent with us though, he keeps repeating the same points though. Admittedly some of his points are valid but, he keeps going on and on

come on we have a 20 million pound striker playing let midield. babel who can play that position on the bench and a new 1 million kid leading the line.

I can, but I can just as easily see them nicking it 1-0 too. Both teams will have a chance a half at this rate, whoever takes theirs will win. Why turn it into a lottery when you can attack them with better players?

The thing is, right now our attacking players are inferior to theirs.

this is the same side beaten by Stoke last week. A very average performance so far.

That's the most worrying part. Our sideways passing in our own half is spot on, but as soon as we try and venture forward, we have no runners, nobody is finding space and the ball is given away cheaply.

Players out of position is the main problem. No shape and it seems like nobody on the pitch has any idea what their real role is.

Apart from that, we could still nick a goal if our 9 men defensive unit can keep a clean sheet!

In fairness Torres didn't do anything when he was on the pitch. Keanes ball to N'gog was the best piece of attacking play from us.

Well let's look on the bright side. When we get Dossena in he almost always puts in a peach of a cross. We need to work him into space more often.

Villa haven't really troubled us and Keane was better when he moved inside.
