Let's try actually making some counter-points without dropping in snotty remarks. Otherwise the place become a zoo.

I said this morning that I'd be happy with a draw, so I suppose I'm reasonably pleased with a point. I'm not happy with the tactics though, and think they are to blame for our poor performances so far. I thought today would see us reverting to the moderately succesful system of last season, with Macher and Alonso sitting deep, and Babel and Kuyt wide of Keane in a 4-2-3-1. Don't understand the thinking behind today's tactics at all.

Still, won two and drawn one (away) after three games. I'll take that. We have to improve for the Mancs though.

I don't think anyone could disagree. 20 mil for Keane to play him out of position and put a kid who scored ONE goal last season in his place.

But the performance is not. I'll start to judge when the transfer market closes. Man Utd is a big test. I expect much better when Riera or whoever comes in.

There was more chance of that then 3 points today so don't be so hard on yourself!

It's not the result we are bothered about as Villa is a tough place to go. It is the manner of which we played the game. Sticking £30m worth of strikers out wide and not having one shot on target is what has pissed me off.

Last season it was pointed out that while we did alot of games and lost very few, we drew a hell of alot and that was our biggest problem. I'd think trying to improve that would be to not play like we did today.. but thats me.

Anyone, including Rafa, that thinks that was "acceptable" needs to wise up.

We were **** today and we've been **** since the season started.

Zero width, creativity or attacking threat. And the subsitutions ? Mad, absolutely mad. I'm lost for words. If we play like that against the mancs we'll get beat.

Dossenna needs games, he is a good player but he needs to be given the licence to get forward more as he has a good cross on him although he doesn't look a little laboured. On tthe other side Arbeloa looks poor but he can play through that I feel.

Nothing needs to be added on the wide areas that hasn't been said already, Rafa doesn't have much idea about attacking football.

We went for a draw and got one.

Don't get me wrong I'm chuffed that we are unbeaten and at the sharp end. But this kind of form cannot continue for the season as we will be had off. As has already been said the true test will be against United. Maybe a good stuffing United is what Rafa needs to wake him up?

i love rafa but what a jokeshop we were today - and it was all his fault....

when torres went off, then he should have either played keane or kuyt up top and brought on either babel or el zhar - if you are going to play 3 central midfielders, then make sure you have a potent wide supply in your team..... i'm ****in annoyed now to be honest and i reckon manU will ****in hammer us in 2 weeks time....

also, people give out about the yanks witholding money from rafa but lets be honest, he signs keane for 20m and plays him wide....he plays kuyt wide....jokeshop....

even without gerrard and torres for most of the game today, then we should have put this crowd away.... i mean against manCity and stoke, they have conceded 5 goals. The proper team today would have been to drop lucas for either benny or babel on the left wing with keane and torres up front. When torres went off, then he should have brought on either benny or babel (whoever he didn't start with) and put them wide right and move kuyt up front.... N'gog should have been a back up option for the closing stages of the game when kuyt or keane were tired.....

                                jokeshop
