I think we might go with:

      Reina
      Finnan - Carragher - Hyypia - Riise
      Pennant - Zenden - Sissoko - Aurelio
      Gerrard
      Crouch
      James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

      Curtis Julian Jones Fanclub #1

Perfect team, deny them any space in the middle and force them out wide. Riise replacing Aurelio will tighten up RB. Bring Sami back to try and rough them up, although Agger's hardly been playing badly.

I think Garcia is a must start for this game as he has always caused them problems and should of had 2 out of 2 equalising goals (i think!) against them except one was ruled offside when he was onside. I would go for:

          ------------Reina------------

          Finnan-Carragher-Hyypia-Riise

          Gerrard-Sissoko-Alonso-Aurelio

          ---------------Garcia--------

          -----------Crouch-----------

          Subs:

          Dudek
          Agger
          Pennant
          Kuyt
          Fowler

I agree garcia should play, but we might be a bit light up front with him and crouch, think one of Bellamy or Kuyt needs to play.

Should just name the /'ardest biggest eleven/ we have and be up and at em.

Doofy & Anelka to be first in the firing line.

                I guess that would be

                ---------------Reina-------------
                --Finnan---Carra---Sami---Riise--
                ---Gerrard----Sissoko---Zenden---
                ---------Bellamy----Kuyt----------
                --------------Crouch-------------

                The Pyramid formation!

Top marks for unpredictability. I know there is no point trying to second-guess Rafa (or do anything really) but have we ever played that formation?
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Haven't got a clue either but my total guess would be:

                      -------------Reina
                      Finnan-Carragher-Hyypia-Riise
                      Gerrard-Sissoko-Alonso-Aurelio
                      ---------Kuyt-Crouch

Subs: Dudek, Agger, Zenden, Pennant, Bellamy

nope, I'm just replying to the post above mine about the 'ardest 11. I'd like to see it tho, think we could do well in a 4-3-3 with crouch up top and Kuyt and Bellamy Drifting out wide. In normal use i'd take Zenden out and put Alonso in, I just think he might be a bit lightweight for this match. if I recall he's been left out at the Reebok before hasn't he?

Can see that, can't see Alonso or Aurelio or Garcia starting in this match.

                          Warnock might come in even.

Oh I see. I don't know about Alonso, you may well be right although I have this vague feeling that there was a big game immediately afterwards, like Chelsea or Champions League (or both) which obviously doesn't apply this time.

Think it was the one were Gerrard crushed Nolans rib cage, but could be wrong.
