Totally agree. Sad reflection of how the game has gone, but it is the reality. No money, no chance.

If they don`t come in and we do finish 5th we`d be worth less and the Yanks would be forced to sell.DIC should probably wait to suit themselves.

I have every confidence that wont happen this year. the year after maybe, but pretty sure we will get top 4 this year.

This is my take on it, (from the Riera thread)

It depends on if DIC get involved. I think G&H won't have any option but to sell soon enough though if the rumours are true.

If they do need to stump up the money in January (as being reported) and with the money now being freely spent at Utd, Citeh and Chelsea there will be no gaurantee that we will indeed be involved with CL football over the coming seasons. The CL is where the money is and I'm sure LFC's recent history in the competition (and consistent qualification for) is something that G&H have used as a carrot to entice this borrowing. Now that Citeh have the backing to become another Chelsea, the banks are going to be seeing that as a huge risk to the revenue of LFC, a season or two in the UEFA Cup is unthinkable and would be a disaster financially. Add to this the fact that the stadium is now a no go (sorry postponed) and LFC is now a far less attractive proposition as it was 12 months ago.

If they get out now, they might well make a little money, they're not stupid, so I expect to see them gone asap. They not big enough for this club.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

In fairness they did bid for Villa and Berbatov and will outbid everyone except Abromovich in January and next Summer.

But if City don't get into the CL this season (which i doubt they will), then can you honestly see the big players wanting to join them?

If man city really make it to CL, then where will liverpool go? does anyone see us over-taking arsenal?

Chelsea bought loads of big players without being able to guarentee CL football at the time. If the money are big enough, a lot of players will move, and Robinho being the prime example now. He could have challenged for the spanish title and the CL, but choose to play for the 4-6th spot in the PL.
