He's been training normally with the first team.

I don't know why Rafa doesn't play Fowler anymore. He trains with the rest of the squad every day and I believe he is fit enough to play for at least 60-70 minutes if not the whole match.

I reckon Rafa will now play Kuyt and Bellamy more often (Bellamy ofcourse until he scores his first prem goal). And he'll substitue one of them with Crouchy. I just can't see Fowler in the Liverpool team at the moment. I'm dying to see him play again, especially against Mancs in October!

It's a shame we don't use a natural born scorer...

He does play a (young) Robbie role , so Robbie may have been kept on partly as a mentor and partly as cover in case we didn't get Kuyt at all or in case he gets injured/needs resting...

He saw enough of Fowler in the games against Sheefield United and Everton to know that he's a passenger in the first team
Harsh. if you're judging performances on those 2 games then everyone involved should be dropped. His new contract was dependat on him proving himself at the back end of last season. In my opinion, he did much better than expected and scored 5 in his last 6 games, plus got a number of assists aswell. I've always been a huge fan but I wouldn;t necessarily have him as 1st choice now. That said, a half fit Fowler should still figure higher in Rafa's plans than Bellamy. Still cannot believe that whiny, irritating little welsh **** is wearing the red of LFC

Fowler's not competing for other positions though, just a striker's role. He has been easily the poorest of the four at Rafa's disposal so it's quite obvious why he has been overlooked of late. If an over-the -hill Fowler really is a valid option for us then we're sunk, frankly. No other top team would let him within a mile of their first team

If we are going to be honest with ourselves and put nostalgia aside we know Fowler is not good enough anymore to warrant a first team place. He is 4th choice striker as he should be. Kuyt, Crouch and Bellamy are playerswho give the team a dimension that Robbie cannot anymore. He is a legend and I am sure he will do a job for us this season and bag some goals in the Carling Cup, FA cup and maybe some of the "Easier" premiership games. Every squad needs a player like this and I am over the moon as I am sure he is to just be involved at LFC.

                  The pecking order should be:

                  Crouch
                  Kuyt
                  Fowler
                  Cisse (he might come back!)
                  Bellamy

I'm not sure which dimensions Bellamy offers that Fowler can't, other than speed. And if speed's that important bring back Cisse and offload Bellamy to the firts team that shows an interest.

Based on ability at present, i'd much rather have Bellamy in the side than Fowler. People are saying that Fowler is still the best finisher we have, im not so sure, I know he scored a few at the end of last season, but he doesnt look that sharp infront of goal for me, not any more anyway, doesnt get the sting in his shots that he used to. Still looked labourous when we seen him early on this season despite people saying he was fitter. I would be supprised if he ever got a decent run of games again for Liverpool. I think if you were to ask supporters of other teams, at present, who is the better player, Robbie or Craig, I think Bellers would be coming out on top every time. I'd imagine Rafa would say the same too, after being watching them train together since pre season.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Two of your top three strikers have absolutely no pace.

Bloody hell, bring back Cisse in place of Bellamy? Last time it was drop Alonso! I'm sure you're from another planet.
