    Backs against the wall

Re Manc scum at home...Gerrard and Torres out, yet more criticism of Rafa & team after the performance at Villa.

Is this the sort of match where the lads can dig in to **** and make themselves heroes for a day or two?

We havent beaten them cunts at home in the league for a long time, too long.

Plus Berbatov to contend with now. I think we can define our season and send a message that we are not a two player team (better than one player).

Alternatively, we could be made like amateurs.

ManU havn`t looked any better than us this season.
          Masch has something to prove.
Keane is well able to score with Torres out of the picture.
          It will be close.

We won't take anything from this game, let's be realists. We aren't playing like champions right now, with or without Torres/Gerrard.

it will be fine margins as always...it's has to swing in our favour one of these days (surely, FFS)

Your wrong there. ManU were excellent against Portsmouth at Fratton Park - totally dominated the game. The 1-0 scoreline flattered Portsmount.

                    I think we're ****ed.

Another loss without scoring a goal is on the cards.

Players need to dig deep and come up with something, it will be a tight affair.

Man U is a one man team, without Ronaldo, they struggle for goals.

Having said that, Man U debutants against us have tend to play well....a certain Taibi a few yrs ago was seen as a Schemiecal replacement when played his first game against us but promtly dropped a clanger and was shipped out a few games later.
                      We going to win #19th!!

I think Rafa would be happy with a draw. I can't see us getting anything more from the game considering how poorly we have played to date.
                        Dare we believe

Rafa will flood the midfield again with defensive midfielders and play Keane up front on his own, we''ll get battered for long periods but hold off Utd until the final 15 minutes when after 3 or 4 squandered easy chances (which will no doubt involve a couple of scrappy last ditch clearences) they'll score from a set piece.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Can we have a little faith? We've been in much worse positions with much ****ter players and gotten results? I think much will depend on our formation going forward, especially at home. We looked great for parts of last season with 4231 and I think many thought we'd carry on and the addition of players like Keane would complement our set up. I hope we revert back to this system for the Man U game....lets not forget our last two home games against them we've dominated and had it nicked from under our noses...not this time round.

PS No manager should be happy with a draw at home in a League Competition. Points mean prizes!

I dont see us going out and taking the fight to UTD when we met specifically for a draw with Villa. FatTony has the right of it. We'll never beat UTD, and thats not being negative. Its just what will happen.
