Albert Riera Videos - I like the look of this guy

    ooooooooooOOOOO

Number five is our Albert .. what a ****ing beauty

    Skills

Apparently City could not afford to sign him last time around ... the irony

He looks quality ... him and Dosser will be extremely dangerous going do the left ...Stevie and Degen down the right
Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

Maybe this is what Rafa likes about the lad

It depends on if DIC get involved. I think G&H won't have any option but to sell soon enough though if the rumours are true.

If they do need to stump up the money in January (as being reported) and with the money now being freely spent at Utd, Citeh and Chelsea there will be no gaurantee that we will indeed be involved with CL football over the coming seasons. The CL is where the money is and I'm sure LFC's recent history in the competition (and consistent qualification for) is something that G&H have used as a carrot to entice this borrowing. Now that Citeh have the backing to become another Chelsea, the banks are going to be seeing that as a huge risk to the revenue of LFC, a season or two in the UEFA Cup is unthinkable and would be a disaster financially. Add to this the fact that the stadium is now a no go (sorry postponed) and LFC is now a far less attractive proposition as it was 12 months ago.

If they get out now, they might well make a little money, they're not stupid, so I expect to see them gone asap. They not big enough for this club.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

a key thing for me will be what arsenal and man city - and perhaps aston villa or portsmouth - do in the january window. I think that'll have a huge bearing on where we finish this season.

the yanks will be gone of that im sure. and if we make a stuttering start and the very real threat of us not finishing 4th occurs, compounded by the non stadium then they will be gone.

my reaction to city's takeover really highlights what i don't want us to become under Dubai. but if we want to compete to win thise league do we have any choice?? can't be worse than where we are now however. i'd like to see moores and parry hang for where they've taken our great club.

If DIC buy us as well it means the entire league is turning into a foreign billionaires ego boost with the Arab billions jumping in - i would not be surprised to see FIFA legislation to control this - perhaps along the lines of the US sports franchises with drafts, salary caps etc. I think we are seeing the beginning of the end of the way football works as this just cannot continue in the vein of a video game.

He might not be the signing I really wanted, but it just seems right somehow that there will be an Albert playing for Liverpool again

we already are a foreigners ego boost, so whats the difference?

I watched the highlights one on youtube that was in one of the other threads. Am I the only one not to be terrible impressed? Although he did look quite fast and dynamic I didn't see too many actual assists or goals.

I am looking forward to giving the guy a chance.

I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

i wasnt impressed. don't think he's the answer to our prayers but you never know. he has the attributes, i think its the mental side that makes him screw up. Hopefully he's a case of rafa taking a good player and making him excellent.

i thought that youtube stuff was all showpony nonsense and about 75% of it had zero effect in terms of goals or assists. not what you want from a winger's highlights reel.

i think what he can't fail to bring is balance however and this we are sorely lacking. something for our opposition to think about on the left will give kuyt and the central mids some more time on the ball. that'll make us look far, far more composed.

so i think its a good transfer but unfortunately, we're still short.

I had a dream last night that involved Riera running down the wing, beating a couple of players and then getting a decent cross in. For what that's worth.

happily welcome him to anfield. if he manages to have any impact whatsoever it'll be a bonus.
