im sure you will still be able to find plenty of other reasons to slate rafa though, it seems to be your main topic of posting

i'm completely disillusioned with him pezzer. as bad as i was with houllier. maybe i'm wrong but i think rafa has lost the plot.

my point with el jef is that we shouldn't even consider playing keane anywhere else but as striker.

We had width ready to distribute, just chose not to use it.
People would have complained if we played Benny on the left, look at the other match threads for the complaints. Its not like he gives us width anyways. If he had of played Aurelio the same people would have been up in arms about playing more defensive then with Keane playing on the left.
Lots of people just like having a pop at Rafa and not looking at the bigger picture of injuries and what was best for the team. With Babel out and Parry to slow to sign a left sided player he was going to get slated no matter who he played on the left. It was a makeshift move, lets just wait and see where he plays him now we are sorted on the left.

We've got Riera now haven't we? So I'm sure that's the last we'll be seeing of Keane on the left wing.

Brace yourself for a spate of articles about why Gerrard is playing on the right though

True, although Rafa's number one transfer target would probably have played on the laft, which would also have been a makeshift move.

Ok, Ok, I give up, people can only miss the point so much without it being deliberate.

It's just 2 games, and not an insight into how we'll be playing for the other 36. imo.

And replaced with a better manager who is ???? Because believe me H&G wont employ a Hiddink or the like..they'll put a yes man in place with no ambition and no demands, not a fighter, and not someone with the clubs best interests at heart. (again imo).

But fair play for your honesty. Saying that, i couldn't disagree more, especially with the present situation at hand.

I have no bloody idea. Not given it any thought whatsoever. Just wondered whether writing Rafa Out in text would feel good or not. It does. He's ****ing annoying when he speaks. We play **** year in year out. Players get signed and played out of positions. Its become boring watching us. In fact it feels like torture watching us.

But if he stays I'll continue to hope we manage to scrap out wins and somehow fight it out at the top.

Just think there is more logic to it, Spurs & Newcastle play nice football, but where has it ever got them, until we can truly compete with the top clubs for players, i think Rafa's way is the best way to almost guarantee Champions league football.

We have even begun to take it for granted, that we'll be in the latter stages every season, no mean feat that by Rafa.

Rafa definately brings something to the table. The youth setup looks better and the quality of the youngsters is promising.

But I feel that a lot of the other top mangers could do at least as well as rafa has done in the league given our resources. In europe he's bang on, no doubts. But in the league he will never change. until he stops treating football like a game of chess and stops telling players exactly where to run we'll never have any fluency in our play. he holds our players back.

But he's always been this way, how come our players are held back yet the Valencia players flourished. Ah well it's all just opinion, it's to complicated to truly work out the in's and out's of why it's not yet worked in the Prem.

But i worry more for Liverpool without Rafa, than i do for a Liverpool with him, regardless of our style of play, i just think the size of the challenge is immense, and just got harder, so to be at the top table consistently needs massive yearly investment of a type that at present is unsustainable to LFC.

Even Wenger with a head start on Rafa has won less since Rafa joined us, that should tell us something, he was successful before that, so maybe the league has got a whole lot tougher. Yes they play nice footie, but have paid the price imo in trophies for it since the time of Rafa's LFC.

Anyway as i said, i admire your honesty. Even if you are wrong.........................

I think those days are now numbered.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
