Yup but players can pick up a slight injury anytime, do you think he looked fully fit the last match he played for us?

Honestly....I couldn't tell. He's that type of player who seems to drift in and out. Rarely has he been involved enought for me to make a call one way or tuther.

I could not say for sure he had an injury just going by how he played last week. Really just wondering how Rashid knows for certain that he didnt get a knock or have a slight injury. Does he have a contact with the Liverpool medical team or Babel himself, or is he just making stuff up to have another pop at Rafa?

It's worse for him, because we are the only club that truly EXPECTS to win a title out of the ones who have not won the Prem yet, huge expectation, pressure, and weight of history, history which i think sometimes effects the whole club negatively.

I would dearly love to see Rafa given funds under a new wealthy owner, because i would like it to be him that finally brings the Title home to Anfield, and not a one season wonder newly appointed and handed unlimited funding, just how i feel.
Great post especially the middle paragraph. I have underlined what I feel is starting to become too big a burden, mainly due to the Scum drawing so close. We cannot allow that fact influence our decisions on management.

If Rafa is to go at some point it has to be for football reasons and most importantly he has to be replaced by a manager of very high standing. If not we should stick to the bloke that has made us the best team in Europe during his tenure.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

This is the big one for Benitez. Outside of Europe, he has not been convincing imo. Sure, he has qualified for Europe, but the competition in the PL is not up to much outside the top 4 idf we're honest. Let's hope he can get the team settled and playing somewhat attractive football - but points in the bag is the most important thing. I just don't think we can go on an unbeaten run of winning games. I remember thinking last Feb Benitez had to go but a late showing in Europe saved him imo. I am no longer certain whether the team is moving upwards or sideways - take Torres and SG out of the first X1 and we looked decidedly mid table (not that his continuing bewildering tactics have helped). There's not enough coming out of the youth system to suggest he has the midas touch there. Not this time - no more Bumble B!

Not enough coming out the youth system, what, and the Scum have loads of youth players in the First team, and the Chav's, people talk of Arsenal but they are all bought in..not home grown...a poor reason to slam Rafa for, imo.

And i actually think that our youth system is coming along ok as compared to the rest.

I agree. Also agree with the above.

Fair enough. Personally I would prefer that he continued to build on our nervous early season results, improving performance along the way, and help the team gel into genuine title contenders come May.

Each to their own though, thanks for clarifying your position.
