Rafa: We'll soon hit top form

I'm still confused as to his decisions last week, but I hope we do click very soon. If we're out of the race at Xmas again I think that'll have to be it.
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

ok, I havent read all the thread and I dont post much at all but want to make a couple of points, apologies if its covered already or you think its tosh.....
"Having watched the videos, I thought we could have won. We had four chances – Alonso, Kuyt, Ngog and Keane. They had two and some set-pieces. So, the point was good but it could have been better. We changed the system to play 4-3-3 and give Xabi Alonso freedom, then when he was being pressed we changed to 4-2-3-1. People said, 'Oh, Robbie Keane wasn't playing well on the left.' But we had to think about winning the game, not just one player."
Firstly, only after watching the videos did he think we could have won? fcuk that, he should have realised it in real time and adjusted accordingly, surely he could see what was happening and adjusted to win the game there and then.
secondly, he points out statistics, in a very defensive manor...."we had 4 chances to their 2".... fair enough, we did... but Rafa, stop getting blinded by the facts to cover up your obvious mistakes and do something about it, if you change the way we play and allow the players to be more creative then those 4 chances would likely turn into more. In business is you nearly got the deal but fell just short you can come up with all sorts of excuses but at the end of the day you missed out.....dont try to justify it, do something about it and admit you made a mistake
finally, defending the fact that Keane was out of position....this actually shows he realises there was a bit of a problem....hopefully he will learn by his mistake...

So you pick out the bit that, in your mind, justifies your criticism Yet ignore the part highlighted in bold because it negates your arguement. Why do you think he made the changes Rafa himself mentioned on the very paragraph you chose to quote him on if it wasn't an attempt to win the game?My Name is Jonny Depp and I kill people!

with all the boardroom turmoil i think the last thing rafa needs to do is come on tv and admit he ****ed up, course he was covering his arse and as for his interview i am sure he wasnt happy with that performance but i would prefer hime to sort it away from the glare of the media. Ramon Vega (Ex spurs) was saying the other day when he was at spurs the boardroom turmoil really effected life on the pitch and how the players felt. I am sure its no different hereOriginally posted by No9 View Postok, I havent read all the thread and I dont post much at all but want to make a couple of points, apologies if its covered already or you think its tosh.....
