Gerrard definitley ruled out of Utd game

"The United game is too soon," Gerrard told the Post. "I've a decent chance for the Champions League game in Marseille but I've spoken to the manager and told him I'd like to do a certain amount of training before I come back.

"I don't want to go into a big game only having had one session with the boys."

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

He isn't saying he won't be fit, he's saying he doesn't want to play against Man U unless he's had a fair amount of training and preperation.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I can see both Gerrard & Torres starting. Got a feeling Rafa's playing mind games.

IMO it's much more important that Torres is fit, although there's no chance of that either.

with any luck it is mind games - i very much doubt it unfortunately for us - we will struggle without them in my opinion

Without both of these two starting (and they won't IMO) im concerned we will approach this game very cautiously, set up not to concede again. It won't work and we will get beat, again. I would much, much prefer us to have a real go at them, even without Torres and Gerrard.

i think torres will start and gerrard will be on the bench at least. This all the kind of mind game bollox that we normally see eminating from old toilet, i suppose we are going to have to play these games aswell- would be too surprised to see c.ronaldo getting on for them
