    Our full backs today.

    Played high up the pitch.

It made such a difference to us offensively. Very simple really.

I thought both played well. Aurellio and Riera linked up particularly well down the left going forward
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yes, it was nice to see the overlapping between Aurellio and Riera, early second half.

As an aside what exactly is Aurellio's strength. His left peg seems ordinary. His tackling is ordinary. His attacking play is ordinary. I don't wanna be overly negative on such agreat day, but what does he bring to the 'pool party?

        First half they were terrible.

Second half they looked much much better.

          I quite like Aurelio.

But I have to admit I find it bizarre that Rafa would splash out eight million on a left back, Dossena, and then decide not to play him.

I think this game just came too soon for Dossena, he's still learning our style of play and there are certainly better games to do that than the scumsters.

I would agree with that even though I have my reservations with Dossena

Arbeloa and Aurelio surely had there best performance in a Liverpool shirt today.

                  Both on fire.

Aurelio had his best performance when we whopped the Arse 4 - 1 at Anfield a couple of seasons back. His attacking and crossing were top drawer that day.If he can get back to those heights we'll be laughing.Too soon to put Dossena in against the scum but his day will come.Encouraging performance from Reira too

Aurelios left peg was meant to be world class, his free kicks were meant to be as brazilian as they come and he was meant to be attacking as full backs get. To me he does none of the above brilliantly but all of the above well, today he was well worth his place.

Lets hope he stays fit and pushes on now.

thought arbeloa was really good today. finally getting a run in the team and gets better and better. never going to be the complete finished article but a really good player nonetheless. aurelio, however, was pretty poor defensively today. he let roney get away from him time and again. attacking wise he was good but defensively ( and that is normally his strong point ) he was a bit disappointing for me.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
