Amazing how well he & Aurelio linked up given the fact theyve never played together & that it was Riera's debut against such an average side (I feel dirty saying that).
    Do you feel better now

Riera has made a very impressive start - linked up well with Aurelio, showed some very nice touches and had a decent effort on goal.

It will be interesting to see how Rafa accomodates both him and Babel, who also impressed down the left. Maybe time to switch Babel to the right and drop Kuyt?? Difficult choices ahead for Rafa.

He wont drop Kuyt and to be fair, if you base it on performances vs the mancs, kuyt deserves to keep his place.

Judging him as a success after 70 mins is also funny.

Not saying he's already a success but some have been saying he was literally 'crap'.

That was the Havant game and he had a nightmare yeah, but it means nothing that early in a player's career.

I still maintain Dossena will not make it here - Aurelio looks far more accomplished IMO and will hold his place as long as he is fit.

IF Dossena fails, he'll be an almighty and expensive cock up.

I quite like some of what I have seen from Dossena. I think he tried too hard to be the attacking fullback we crave and in a poorly performing team lost his way. I think the positives I saw when he has played indicate he could become a very good player for us but at the minute despite his bulk he has been too weak in the tackle and has positioned him self too high up the park too often in defense.

Aurelio should however keep his place until he ****s up or Dossena proves he deserves it.

I'm convinced Dossena will be a hit. Aurelio is a good player when fit but it's great to have an Italian international as an alternative instead of the ghastly Riise.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
