    Tuesday night

If there's one area of Rafa's reign that has been pretty close to flawless it is this. Away from home in Europe. Tactically, Rafa rarely, if ever gets it wrong on the road in the Champions League. I believe it's these type of matches that he looks forward to the most.

We've gone to places like Inter Milan and Barcelona and won.

We've got results at places like Chelsea, Arsenal and Juventus.

We've spanked the likes of Leverkusen, PSV and Marseille when the pressure was on and everyone thought we were in for a tight game.

I am not worried in the slightest about Tuesday night. We'll beat them.

Obviously a little bit of guesswork based on injuries. I don't think there's any point rushing Torres back. Of all the injuries, hamstrings aren't something worth taking risks over. I doubt Mascherano will make it either. Babel deserves a start and I can't see our eight million pound left back Dossena being dropped for two matches on the spin. With that in mind....

    --------------Keane
    Riera----------Kuyt---------Babel
    ---------Alonso---Gerrard
    Dossena---Skrtel--Carra---Arbeloa
    ---------------Reina

Stick Lucas in for Gerrard and that'd do nicely.

Still prefer not to risk Torres and Gerrard for what is, as you rightly say, a type of game that we usually excel in.

Lucas is ****e, but I suppose if Gerrard isn't 100% and Mascherano is out we don't really have a choice.

Ideally I'd like Agger to get some minutes under his belt as well, but it seems a little pointless seeing as Skrtel and Carra are looking more solid with every game that passes.

Lucas is what i'd describe as a 'steady' player, he could improve but at the moment, he's capable of doing a job without being spectacular.

For this type of game, where there'll be more time on the ball and against a side who arent top class, Lucas is good enough to do the job.

This is the kind of thing with rotation, you rest your top players for games like this, where the backup can come and in a do a job. These are types of games where the players who come into the side dont NEED to be amazing, they just need to be fairly solid and steady.

Torres won't play, no doubt about that.

Lucas is not ****e at all, thats a silly statement.Infact a stupid statement. He is young and improving. Infact i thought he was excellent against Inter Milan in both legs. He didnt have a good game against Villa 2 weeks ago but that doesnt suddenly make him ****e. He had a very good pre-season and then the Olympics got in the way. I believe that Lucas, like Babel will come on leaps and bounds this season.

Lucas has less than half the talent Babel does.

He's not the worst player I've ever seen, but he's extremely lightweigh and doesn't really offer any kind of genuine attacking threat.

Six million was a lot to pay for him.

You think Lucas is good enough long term then ? He's not.

Actually, I do, but I don't think a Sky Generation'er like yourself would be able to see why.

Lucas is too lightweight, have many players in our squad who are better than him.

Personally, i would rather play Plessis over Lucas.

Lucas also became the youngest player to ever to receive Placar magazine's Bola de Ouro (Golden Ball), given to the best player in the Campeonato Brasileiro — an honour previously won by the likes of Zico, Falcao, Careca, Romario and Kaká

Lucas is a box to box midfielder, not a holding midfielder, as he spent most of last season.

FFS it was his first season, the best is yet to come
