fredo, just stop peering into the future, your ball is cracked..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I admire your optimism Paul and I'd agree that we're by no means out of it yet. As you say, we're gonna have to do it the hard way and we need to put a right run together. We've had loads of hard games so far and as a result we have a long sequence of winnable games after the Scum away. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

No we wont. From the start of the season I didnt think we could do it and now I'm convinced.Originally posted by paulcooper4we will win the league. This season. I have no doubts. We just refuse to do it anything other than the hard way
My hope was 2nd place - and what worries me is that we're going to struggle to get that now as well.
We need to start the season much better than what we have the last 3 seasons under Rafa if we want to win the league, and a 2nd place finish to avoid CL qualifying is imperative to that.
All these stupid internationals and the World Cup hasn't helped either.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

exactly mate. I was hoping these first few hard away games we would manage to do well out of, as they are the hardest fixtures of the season. But, never mind, theyve gone now. Just watch us go on a big ****off unbeaten run now.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonsoI admire your optimism Paul and I'd agree that we're by no means out of it yet. Not that daft ... His touch was poor as he got booked after lunging in after a bad piece of control. Committed two fouls (including the bookable offence) from two bad pieces of ball control.Originally posted by TomDaft comment. He came into the game when bolton had gone to 10 at the back. There was no room out there.

What annoyed me is that we kept on playing the ball down the left and through the middle where there 2-3 men on one of ours, while Pennant was free on the right and no one passed to him. Worrying.
We might have had chances, but how many were good clear cut chances?
I was really optimistic before the match, but that was a real eye opener.
I also think Crouch should have started (may be he didnt because Bolton are so good in the air?). Mourinho doesnt drop Drogba does he?White liquid in a bottle = Milk

2 seasons ago our away form was dire and cost us dearly
This season, played 4 ,only 1 point, only one goal scored( a pen) and 7 conceded.
Sheff U, we were crap for most of the 90
Everton, we were crap
Chelsea, not a bad performance, they got a very good goal
Bolton , we were crap for most of the 90
It is a waste of time dominating possession as we seem to do away from home if their is no cutting edge and a leaky defence
Sheff U, Everton and Bolton all got stuck into us and we don't know how to play against their physical game
Expect more of the same from other teams .We have to learn to match teams physically when necessary. We lost a lot of 50/50 challenges today, and in other games, we need to address this quickly.
I admire your optimism Paul but fear it is not realistic
