    Pennant

    Not good enough.

He's playing with fear, seemingly. Afraid to run at his man, he is constantly turning backwards or going inside. More pertinently, he's losing the ball almost every time he receives it.

    Not happy.

Rafa needs to drop him. SG has to start on the right from now on. The more I look at the squad now the less attractive our options look.
      Dare we believe

            An easy target.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

He delivered a terrific cross on Wednesday for Garcia to score and was decisive in some other matches, notably the draw away at Maccabi Haifa, so labelling him as not good enough is a bit unfair in my opinion. Not based on a bad performance anwyway ...

He was never a John Barnes too.

He is playing in a new team with new players and has just come back from an injury, dont you think its a bit early to be saying he isnt good enough?

I think when he gets a few games in a row where the team is playing well we will start to see the best of him.

Ok, my thoughts. Two away games (chelski and today) he's gone missing. Today - hmm there were 3 or 4 bolton players on him everytime he had the ball. They play a game where they get EVERYONE behind the ball. There was simply no room for him to operate in. You could see that in our overall play - there was no width because they denied it us. Bolton are ugly but very well organised. I can't remember the last time we got a decent result there.

He wasn't great today, but the bent/lino goal really knocked us out of the game. From that point on it was mass defense - really no chance for wide players to influence (and also the reason for so many long shots). To summarise: jury's out on pennant.

I hope you're right, er, Jermaine.

I'm not writing him off completely yet, but I wasn't remotely convinced when we signed him and on the evidence presented so far he's not up to the task.

not good enough is not what matters here, he has talent, but he just is afraid to use it, he's the biggest pussy i have seen in years in that red shirt, see how he had a good opertunity at goal today, but instead of hitting it with his left foot and get caught by the tackle, he had to shield his body and lay up for his right foot, YOU DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT in the penalty box, he's afraid of opposition players, thats whats wrong with him, no matter how good his crosses are he needs to fight to get in to position so that he can cross and he's not doing that...

he offers us ****, cause he barely showes up for the games, he needs to start to think about the team first...
