He is playing in a new team with new players and has just come back from an injury, dont you think its a bit early to be saying he isnt good enough?

I think when he gets a few games in a row where the team is playing well we will start to see the best of him.

The problem is that right now, the team aren't playing well away from home and they can't afford to carry anyone, especially in what we all knew was going to be a really physical battle against Bolton. There are too many people not on their game in the team and Pennant is copping it as he wasn't a player that that many people wanted to see here and he's not currently delivering. I'd like to hope we will see the best of him, but I don't think that it will be just a few games before he finds his feet.

Both he and Bellamy need to be rested/dropped (call it what you want) and placed on the bench. If we do well in the match and go a few goals up in a match, they can then come on and try to rebuild their confidence.

He delivered a terrific cross on Wednesday for Garcia to score and was decisive in some other matches, notably the draw away at Maccabi Haifa, so labelling him as not good enough is a bit unfair in my opinion. Not based on a bad performance anwyway ...

Rafa rated Pennant so much that he tried for about a year to sign Alves / Simao without success. He only signed him because we could afford Kuyt as well if we took Pennant instead of Alves.

People need to remember he is being asked to do different things then he was asked to do at brum.At brum he was told to just stay wide all the time which I think is a reason for his lack of goals and everytime he got the ball he was told to just put the ball in the box straight away.

I saw him a lot last season and he played a lot better then he has for us and I think he can get a lot better so I am not worried about him being good enough, he will get better he just needs to get his confidence up.

He deserves time, but you havent seen anything bad......i havent seen anything good!! apart from the odd cross. Gonzales looks like he is prepared to take a chance. Pennant is to scared to attack and beat players,shoot etc.....only time will tell if thats nerves, settling in or he isnt good enough.....I will reserve judgement till christmas
