    Destined for greatness

Does anyone else think that big things are going to happen to us?

I’ve been watching the players body language not just this season but over the last few seasons and also how Rafa is in games and press conferences and we just seem so united, it's almost like everything's finally falling into place. I sense there's a great confidence and team spirit at the club even amidst all the chaos.

I feel we're destined for greatness soon I really do. Yes the club is not in a great state with what's going on in the background and yes we don't always play great football and I know it’s early days but we're just so much better now than we've been before.

Since Rafa has taken over we've had some very special moments, these have been sporadic but there's been glimpses of what we're capable of. Something has got to give with the takeover, it's only a matter of time before G & H leave.

I feel this team will step up to the plate now especially after beating those **** ends last week.

Purely from an on the pitch perspective I think you're not far off the mark.

I don't think the squad has looked this good for a long time. If Reira keeps playing well and we can get the best out of our full backs then the only real weakness we have is on the right and Kuyt has started the season well out there...

3 times this season we have won after being behind, something we used to be rubbish at doing.

          Abso-ruddy-lutely.

The stats used to paint a very grim picture in terms of coming from behind to win. We literally hardly ever managed it. What a refreshing change.

Now to get our noses in front in a game and batter someone. Hello Stoke City!
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Bit early to say destined for greatness

Good signs so far, but let's see where we are in 2-3 months time.

Exactly, we're bloody hard to beat and the team has so much confidence. Look at the way Mascher, Kuyt and Keane were closing Utd down at the weekend.

We as fans can't underestimate just how big a monkey that is off our backs beating them cunts on Saturday!

There's been times when we've been really slow starters in games but we do seem to be getting rid of this, we're upping the tempo a lot better now which is what Rafa wants. Occasionally it still happens we are getting better for sure.

It's not just that, I feel there's an inner confidence within the club. You can just sense it now more than before, it's almost like we've been takeover by the power of the force!!

Quality all over the park. Finally we have depth and real true quality everywhere.

                Yes, I believe

Our squad is good but we were lucky tonight. Shoddy defending last 10 minutes gave them plenty of chances. A better quality outfit would have punished us. We were destined for greatness last season too at this stage. Let's wait and see where we are in January.

We're going to hammer Stoke. No more showing respect to teams that's what I say. We need to batter everyone.

I know where you've coming from man but it's been a really good start from the team albeit they're not playing that great.

When the players fitness gets better they'll step it up another level. Marseille are a good attacking unit to be fair but we got them very frustrated through our dogged defending. I personally don't think a better team would have scored against us tonight and I now go into every game with the belief that we won't concede, and even if we do we'll score and keep scoring until we win.

Something I haven't felt for a long time.

Loving the positivity for a change.

Lets batter Stoke, let the B team take care of Crewe and then smash Everton on their own patch.

Well I for one am getting pretty ****ing excited for this season. It seems we have a bit more belief and I put the crap showings at the beginning of the season down down to the Euro and Olympics.

We have twice come back from 1-0 down and it shows we are not fazed as much as last season. I genuinely think we are about to cross the line and take that mental toughness forward and start to challenge for the title.

We have an amazing squad.. truly outstanding.. I fancy our chances against any team ...anywhere ... and I believe our manager can out think any manager on the planet .. even our merchandising is improving ... I am as about as confident as one can be ..

The squad is strong with strenght in depth and man for man we can match anybody. We matched manure last season at Anfield and the year before that. You can work hard but every team needs a little bit of good fortune. Off the pitch we really do need some stability and I hope that the Sheikh owns us by Christmas.
