I'd play Keane against Crewe just to let him net a couple. He will be sound after that

keane is lost out there and should have come off much earlier. there is no need to play hard working but offers **** all in attack dirk kuyt against stoke. dossena is crap, if he was bought as an attacking full back.

stoke fans at the end chanting easy. well done rafa another tactical masterclass where we negated the opposition, only problem is we did not create one clear opportunity on goal. huff and puff all we want this is the same old shower of ****.
          And so it begins....

If Rafa's tactics were wrong, why did we have so many shots, corners and posession? You know full well that on another day we would have had 10. It was just one of them days.

But hey, you find any excuse to slate Rafa, so I shouldn't be suprised at how quickly you've crawled out of the woodwork.

All his efforts were really poor. Very very poor and should have done better.

not one clear carved chance. not one. and for your information i was always here!

we played stoke and ****ed up like we did with similar teams last year and the year before. we should have destroyed them. instead we've got a 20 million pound striker that looks like he belongs in a pub team and a hard working limited forward that must have set a record for minutes played without scoring in the league.

We attacked them relentlessly, but other than not playing Kuyt I don't see what Rafa could've done differently? The players have to take the blame for this today, shooting from outside the box and shooting everywhere other than at the goal.

Right formation for me, but I would've personally not played Kuyt today and had Benny on from the start.

I don't think Torres should be starting at the moment though, he just doesn't look fully fit at the moment.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Yeah it's not that easy when you have a rugby team entrenched around the 18 yard box.

I think Kuyt played well though, just didn't have that creative spark that Yossi had when he came on.

Until he creates nothing at which point you will call him lightweight.

winning the league is never easy. what else do you expect of teams like stoke? we should have known this was what they would do and have had a plan to overcome it

"Alonso played well as did Dossena."

They were both utterly utterly appalling , packed defence begged for some creativity from xabi , he was lacking and if you thought dossena had a good game check out some of his crosses in the last quarter of the pitch.

I had a feeling this match would be a bit sticky.

Im not blaming anyone but the question we have to ask is how would stoke have fared playing at old toilet , the emirates or the bridge ?.

i think we all know the answer......
