Mascherano was missed today. He gives us drive and sets the tempo. Keane should be benched and Gerrard should play off Torres. Kuyt was terrible today and should have been replaced. We need to sign a right sided player in January

Sorry mate noone is complaing we didnt batter them we are angry because we have failed to beat a **** team at home, everyone expects us to beat them not just the fans, some players didnt perform and some are just not good enough

we played stoke and ****ed up like we did with similar teams last year and the year before. we should have destroyed them. instead we've got a 20 million pound striker that looks like he belongs in a pub team and a hard working limited forward that must have set a record for minutes played without scoring in the league.

I understand what you're saying but whats Rafa supposed to do, walk them around the penalty area and say this is where you dummy and then flick the ball over to Fernando, Fernando, you now shoot? We had all the possession and played the ball in and around the box for 90 minutes but created very few clear chances. These guys aren't androids programmed to follow instructions religiously, when they get near the box its up to them to start creating something. They took it out wide, brought it through the middle, made a few runs through into the penalty area and had quite a few fluffed shots and miskicks. This is down to the players not Rafa.

Rafa has to set the team out tactically, and they did a job today, but he can only do so much. That final bit has to come from the players.

As I've already said, for me the only thing I would've done differently is play Benny instead of Kuyt as we all knew what Stoke would do today and Benny would've created more than Dirk.

And how do you know i wouldn't last that long eh? Know my footballing career history do we? Know i was a YTS at tranmere when i was 16 ye? And also i at Leeds till i was 14 aswell?

I don't care if the goal comes from a deflection from a long throw, or from a corner, i don't care if we get battered all game then win ..

But today we didn't win against a newly promoted side who happen to be one of the poorest sides i have ever seen play in the premiership. How you can be happy after todays performance i will never know.

He's been our best player this season to date.
