Stoke is not in the West Midlands it's in Staffordshire. Its just under half way to Liverpool from Birmingham. It is a **** hole and their fans have always been scum who get off on causing trouble.
This city has two great football teams – Liverpool and Liverpool reserves

They do have a rep, i remember this one time the police had to close the A50 (which links the M1 to the M6) due to fighting between Stoke fans and some other team, fighting was meant to have spilled on to the A50 itself
        We come not to play.

Sorry to be pedantic but I've noticed your lack of punctuation lately. Is it because you're pissed off using them and mix the commas with apostrophes ?

The word Banter - means - To tease jokingly. The Stoke delinquents were abusing our fans, stewards, supporters in wheel-chairs, or manager, our players, the police - from lunch time onwards. There was no camaraderie amongst the pea brained hoodlums, no banter just foul mouthed vicious insults and abuse. Some of the stewards in the Anfield Road end said that they hadn't seen or heard anything like it since the Neverton game 2 years ago (and that's just inside the stadium). The worst thing was that the family enclosure just above the morons had to listen to the garbage for 90 minutes.

i have to say the 'stokies' were ****ing nuts - loved my time in stoke, went to staffordshire uni and had a great time but you defo needed to have a bit of 'street nous' about u - people from areas like liverpool, newcastle, brimingham etc - the bigger cities were ok - but there were a lot of naive people from the sticks and for some it was a total shock moving into a 'city' (obv to me stoke wasn't a city but to someone from a little west country village in the middle of nowhere it was like New York haha)

A few highlights with regards the city/people
                    • when we first moved into halls, literally the day later Stoke was voted worst city in the uk
                    • we were warned by the uni about stoke fans. told to not go out on saturday nghts when stoke played at home(bollocks really we went out most saturdays and was fine) and to not leave the house when stoke played port vale!!
                    • when stoke played at home pretty much every pub was shut for the day* there was an exception that i will come too later
                    • when stoke played port vale pretty much every pub, business etc etc closed or took precuations such as boarding up windows
                    • one random story - loads of gypsies moved onto a site near the britannia stadium. The Stokies didn't take too kindly - we were sitting there watching the local news about this riot literally happening 5 min walk away from our house!! haha it was mad, the stokies just gathered an army and went down and 'removed' the gypsies - it was pretty bizarre to be able to walk down the end of the road and see it all kicking off and then run back to the house with a spliff in hand to watch what was going on
                    • during one BNP march, our next door neighbour got petrol bombed!!! madness - we were big stoners in uni, and always joked when ever there was a knock on the door, whoever answered must shout back it's the police so we could clear all our gear. so one night, stoned, knock on the door, a mate goes to answer and shouts its the police, we all laugh and didn't believe him - turns out it was the police, the house next door was on fire
                    • * with regards all but one pub closing on matchdays - our local stayed open - decent pub, but thw landlords brother was one of the top 'boys' in the naughty 40. The pub would open at 11am and would have bouncers on the door straight away - u only got in if you had student id or the landlord recgonised u. During matchdays, a big mini bus would pull up, and a few fella's would walk in and chekc everything was ok etc! I used to manage a football team and we knew the pub well, a few players used to work there and we used to go back after games few sandwiches and chips etc etc - we got through to a cup final and the landlord along with his brother and mates came to watch! - seriously, there was about ten from the naughty 40 watching us. that was a bit mental!!!
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

North Staffordshire is hardly the West Midlands. It's only about 50 miles more or less south-east from Liverpool really and roughly due south of Manchester

It brushes Birmingham. I get West Midlands News and get a load of crap about criminal damage in Stoke every week. Its quite boring.

The worst behaved fans in the 70's were the West Ham (East end - skin heads). I went to the Tottenham 7:0 rout and apart from a few drunken cockneys they were cherubs compared to those Stoke Delinquents. The thing that I find annoying about the "you are over-reacting brigade" is that if you had your 10 and 12 year daughters having to listen to a barrage of abuse and insults such as Benitez is a fat C**T and countless other deeply sickening and provoking insults (I will not quote the references to past tragedies that we had to endure out of respect for the victims and their families). Suffice to say the stewards are in the best position to comment and the ones at Anfield Road were sickened but powerless. The people on this site not in a position to comment are the ones that did not have to endure the abuse and the insults inside the stadium and from 1pm onwards outside the stadium...period.
