Maybe if it was just one team were chasing, yeah, I'd agree.

But it's three; Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal.

Chelsea have changed the way the Premiership title works, it's not a marathon any more, it's a sprint, from start to finish and we're already well behind.

Okay lets for arguments sake say we beat Man U home and away, that would put us level with them (assuming they win today), we beat Arsenal Home and Away would se us a couple points clear of them (assuming they win their game in hand), and if we beat Chelsea in the home fixture would see us 3 points behind them.

So in fixtures in our little league table if you like, it's possible to get within 3 points of Chelsea.

Of course there's a lot of big if's there, but it's still in our own hands at the moment (asside from hoping Chelsea dropping a couple of points, which they will over the course of the season), and as long as it's in our hands, then it's doable. It's when we've got to bank on other teams droping points then we have a problem.
