SAME AS STOKE FOR MERSEYSIDE DERBY

Paul Hassall at Goodison Park 27 September 2008

Rafael Benitez has named the same side that drew with Stoke City for the 208th Merseyside derby at Goodison Park this afternoon.

The Reds boss stands by the starting XI who were frustrated by the Barclays Premier League newcomers last weekend after Javier Mascherano and Yossi Benayoun were both ruled out through injury.

It means Xabi Alonso will partner skipper Steven Gerrard at the heart of the midfield with Robbie Keane and Fernando Torres again paired up front.

The Liverpool team in full: Reina, Arbeloa, Dossena, Carragher, Skrtel, Alonso, Gerrard, Kuyt, Riera, Keane, Torres.

Subs: Cavalieri, Agger, Hyypia, Aurelio, Pennant, Babel, Lucas.

Nice one Livvy. No Masch but we should still win. Feel sorry for Agger but our defence is our strong point

Feel we need another out and out striker on the bench, otherwise it's a good team that dominated Stoke, Everton will probably be more attacking than Stoke so it should be more open and give Torres more space. If Riera and Dossena do their bit by providing some width and the CM's hold their ground we should be fine.
          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Never convinced by SG and Xabi in CM. Big big game. Time for Keane to get off the mark.
              Dare we believe

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Still totally unconvinced by Kuyt on the right in a 442.

Tony Hibbert at right back. Hope Riera makes a fool of him today.
